It’s a 32 x 32. So just under 3 feet. I was hoping to find a frigging coupon code for the HLG board. Don’t really trust myself splicing shit like that for a vanity light. I’ve looked at those. The instructions for HLG seems so much easier.
You'll love the HLG light. I just finished my first grow with an HLG 300v2 in the same size tent that you're using and the results were beyond anything I could have imagined.
Didn’t think the light would turn out to be $300 with shipping and tax. Figured they would ship for free at least. This is steep. Now I’m debating doing a vanity light set up with the g25 bulbs 60 watt per bulb.

Not sure but I plan on running 6 or 8 of them. With a 36 by 36 tent I’ll get two 4 bulb vanity and either run 45w or 60watt bulbs at 3,000k. Will out but at least 450lumens per bulb.
how many plants are you planning on running. I ran 4 in a 3x3 and it was a bit crowded. I'm a glutton for punishment and I'm planning on running four again. I have 5 barney's farm LSD germinating now. I'll throw out whichever one looks the weakest when I move into the tent.
lol It was the only container in the house that could fit it all. Not a bad problem to have. I'd like to fill it next time around.
Going to run 2-3 in the tent. I like to grow fairly large plants. And I remember my first grow years ago I forget the size of the tent but my 4 barely fit.
You could always source parts from Digikey. Free shipping over 100$. Building a light really isn't too hard once you know what to look for
Real watts is 15w per bulb..equiv ratings is marketing.. I would not have believed retail Led bulbs could pull any type of real bud.. They do. I did it 1st grow.. I did not want to commit to expensive light until i find out if hobby was for me..I forget the watts i used but it was around 180w..it was too much for 1 plant..i pulled just over 3oz..ish.. And i did a half assed job on my grow.. Page 260 and page 270 are really good but quick reads.. They are running 12 led 15w in 2 6-vanities for 180w in a 2x4 area.
I would still keep the MH.. I have seen builds where they surround the MH with vanities to complement..and in basement..cold..MH is great for heat.. Anyone growing over 4 plants are in another league than me though..

I thought the same.. Ledgardener.com is a guy out of toronto who just grows veggies... Has invaluable data..builds..diy.. Led drivers.. Serial vs parallel.. Forums. He works electricity daily .. Samsung quantum builds..testing. U could spend hours and its not opinions. Made me less scared of electricity. Samsung strips at digikey are almost double the price of bridgelux for 20-30 more lumens.. In the end we all just want the best we can afford and produce weed we are happy to smoke/vape/eat. Just happy to be allowed to grow legally without the stigma from years of suppression.. Prefer to not give govt one dollar..
