"health and safety of Quebecers"

Where's the evidence? What's next, ban dieffenbachia house plants!
I'm not even going to try to guess what the politics is about in that province. I don't think a typical Alberta perspective would be very well received by many Quebecers though. So, I'll just shut my yap about it.

Alas, the Frenchmen are a curse upon themselves, like American republicans I suppose... Let them live in a Hell of their own creation!

Many Albertans feel they've been a curse upon our pocketbooks for decades now. When we were starting the boom in 1998, I didn't see a lot of Quebecers coming down here to work. But hats off to all the Maritimers who spent years with us here to help build the economy. Made a lot of Newfie friends at the time. Even if I couldn't understand a fucking word they were saying at first. lol

Half of my generation from my hometown ended up in Alberta, many in McMurry. I never went further west than Winnipeg where I worked for CN Rail, after starting out with CN back east. When I left Cape Breton back then unemployment was 30 or 40%, now they are begging people to work here and importing them to work the fast-food restaurants for a start. It was during the deindustrializing of the east coast, mining, steel, fishing, all the primary industries went, and the same thing happened in Ontario and the American mid-west only later.

Did like some of the comments though.
Fuck religious zealots, they have no place in politics anywhere in the world. I hope they find him guilty and slap him with the largest possible penalty, and do it again and again, every time he opens his mouth...

she sounds pretty fucking fascist-y....Is she you guy's desantis?
Looking similar yeah. Also her own worst enemy politically and I hope the voters keep it that way. She has a tendency to put her foot in her mouth. Like the time she claimed business and religious people were "the most persecuted people she could think of ever" due to covid restrictions, or along those lines anyway. Made alot of people go wuuuuut?

Edit: When I said," I hope the voters keep it that way", I should say that she IS the current Premier of our province, as she was elected after our last UCP Premier stepped down when he lost party support because they felt his covid restrictions went too far.
But, there is an election again at the end of May, so I hope people vote her, and the party out of office this time around.
