Purchased these seeds on July 21 from Herbie's, received them on August 2. This is only my second attempt at growing from seed, though I have grown from clones for a little over a year now.
August 3- 8:00PM (2) Sandstorm & (2) RockLock were placed in solo cups with a little water. These were then placed in a closed drawer.
August 4- 9:00AM I pulled the cups out and noticed that three out of 4 were already cracked. I placed all four of them in a damp paper towel on a shallow tray, then put them back into the closed drawer.
August 5- 9:00AM All of the seeds now have a decent taproot. I placed them in small rockwool cubes, then put a very thin layer of wet soil on top. For lighting, I am using one of the 400w metal halides that I veg with, set about 30-36 above the cubes.
August 6- 8:30AM All of the seedlings have pushed through the layer of soil
