Cannabis Absorbency - Calling all experts!

Hi Everyone,

My first post on roll it up thanks for taking a look, I was wondering something. Is the Cannabis plant an absorbent plant? When I say absorbent, I mean does it soak up and retain pesticides to a certain degree if sprays are used? I've been looking on-line about the absorbency of the plant but could not find any info. Im not a grower just a medical user and don't want to get sicker from pesticides. Any help is greatly appreciated.

good question. I know I don't want to smoke something sprayed with pesticides regardless though! I'm sure some is retained. Your best bet is to find someone small to supply you from their organic garden.. Or grow your own! I grow completely organic usually and even with Chem nutes I never use pesticides or anything like that.

Do not use any type of chemical pesticides, the plant WILL absorb them, find out what pest your dealing with or post a pic so we can try to come up with a solution to the problem.

Thanks for the reply's... unfortunately i cannot grow at the moment and its hard to find completely organic growers where i am. But yah i thought the question was interesting cuz even if you are not using a systemic pesticide (meaning its absorbed and travels through the inside of the plant, so if a bug feeds on it it dies.) I'm guessing the bud itself would be some what absorbent because of its non thick skin? I eat a lot of organic fruits and veggies. What an interesting topic though i must say....Its hard to find any info on this stuff. I would imagine the pesticides would effect you greatly overtime if it were to be constantly consumed. Especially med users with compromised immune systems and who are suffering. Also now that children are using the CBD oils here in North America I think some kind of law should be put in place that Organics would be the way to go....just my opinion though.
