Cannabis as a medical treatment.

My partner and I both use cannabis to treat several symptoms of our respective medical conditions. I think it's fair to say that it's kept us both sane several times. From pain relief to a sleep aid to a muscle relaxant, even natural viagra, cannabis has many benefits. I have often wondered just how far its' reach extends, especially considering the results of recent tests linking cannabis use to a reduction of certain cancer cells. I also wonder how many people get relief by using cannabis and how many others could benefit from legalising its' use.

I'm looking for first-hand stories of how cannabis is being used to manage a medical problem. If you use cannabis to treat any medical problem I'd appreciate a comment listing your condition, symtoms being aided by cannabis use, any benefits and/or liabilities of using the drug, how it's helped, etc. If possible, comparisons to prescribed medications would be useful too.
