Cannabis grow-op registry needed to protect homebuyers, association urges

We shouldn't be allowed to grow anything indoors....geez...I would think that if you've set yourself up properly, you're not going to have problems...it's the shitheads that grow recklessly in houses that need to be disclosed.
Are you implying that all home grows are wired by Red Seal electricians? Or that household wiring or circuits can handle multiple HID’s? Not to be insensitive but the recent loss of life in BC proves a point, Not everyone is capable of setting up their own grows. Shit happens, and it’s not worth the risk IMO! Leave it to the pros.

What do you think about people home growing in prebuilt growboxes? I realize this isn't going to get you huge yeilds but pretty efficient on electricity. Like The Grobo, super closet, BC Northern Lights or grow daddy? The BCNL Producer I have is CSA approved, has ducting lovres and carbon filter. Most people do modify them adding chillers or mini split a/c though.

I got no problem with anybody home growing safely, I have worked with a couple of those steel CSA grow chambers. For what they are, they are very expensive, and only personally seen mediocre results.

I had the big box from bcnl....I didn't like hydro so I switched to soil and it worked better for me...having said that, bcnl or urban gardener promoted those for growing herbs and other shit...what your growing shouldn't make a difference.

I can see both sides of this issue. As a medical patient I know not only should people be allowed, I also know it can be done very easily without any risk of damage to property.
Now as someone who at one time had properties I rented to people, I can say sadly lots of people are complete lazy fucking pigs. There will be those who grow that do not give a sweet fuck about the property, and that can cause serious damage.
I do not yet have a solution to this. But I do absolutely get both sides.
Cheers :)

It is a very difficult situation for sure. If I find myself having to endure another inspection by my landlord I have no plans to take it all down again. I will simply demonstrate to my landlord that by using a closed grow tent I am not going to damage anything, and I will gladly sign an agreement to pay all costs incurred should there be any accidental damage. I have already had one inspection and my landlord knows I keep a very clean house. I have also demonstrated that I can make more effective repairs than the maintenance people.

Eventually I want to have 3 vertical CMH's in a 4x8' tent
I just converted mine to autopots with airdomesIMG_20180412_225424_01.jpg
Red are BC Rockstar
Green are BC God Bud

*The one with a yellow neoprene disk was cloned with raw honey instead of rooting stimulator. Just a little experiment.

Now just for identification. Before when I cloned them in 2" and 3" rockwool cubes and used them to block light. I'll probably take them off, that pic was taken just after transplanting into the pots of botanicare readygrow coco coir/perlite mix
