Cannabutter in the crock pot

Just started. :blsmoke:

about an ounce(more or less) of trim and 5 or 6 grams of dank buds

about 4½-5 cups of water
1 and 1/3 stick of butter

on HIGH right now(about 300 degrees) for the next 3 hours, mashing and stirring occasionally.

then on LOW for another 3 hours.

does this sound correct? or should it be on LOW the whole time? Or should I leave it on HIGH for a lesser amount of time? I have a thermometer by the way.

HELP??

yo man, hope your butter comes out bomb. what are you planning on baking?

the only tidbit i have i already told you. that someone told me that its best do do 2/2 but i just followed the recipe and it turned out fine

2/2? you mean 2 hours high 2 hours low?
or 2 sticks of butter to 2 cups of water?

i plan on baking brownies i guess, any other tasty(simple) suggestions? :mrgreen:

ya 2/2 high/low, but like i said, i heard this and stuck with 3/3 because thats what the recipe said

i made cannacookies, but seriously, you can make ANYTHING where butter or oil is an ingredient

Low the whole time man. Keep a temp on it and leave it at 200 degres and just let it slow cook for 5-8 hours. Longer the better.

This is how I make my oil/ butter. The point of the crock pot is to slow cook it all, so it absorbs alll the goodness. Plus it won't risk burning at all.

I am at just under 170 degrees F. It's been 1 ½ hours. So should I just leave it be like this for 6-8 hours, considering it's not heating up to 300 degrees F?

I want to make whatever takes the most butter, so I can get the most fucked up when I eat it!

If it is at 170 I might turn it on high every once in awhile and just keep an eye on the temperature. When it starts creeping above 200 just turn it on low again. I did this for about 6 hours on 420 this past year. Let's just say it was a fantastic day in class with a cookie for a snack every few hours... bongsmilie

what i love about canna cookies is this; you eat one or two and you dont really feel the effects for a while. then you get the munchies(but your not high yet) and eat 2 or 3 more cookies, shortly after you feel like you just smoked a dozen blunts

i made like 4 batches of cookies using the crock pot, just sucks with 0 in 1 1/3 stick for me, i have to eat 5-6 at once to get high out of the 25 it makes, then im sick of cookies...

what do you mean?

you mean an ounce of bud per 1 1/3 stick of butter? or 0 something?

its been about 3½ hours, and I added more water, I have about 6 and a half cups in there now. I had more leaf matter then I thought, I didn't want it so clumpy in there. I gave it a very good stirring and mash and left the top off of the crock pot this time.

With the top on, the temp seems to rise around 200, and descends to ~170 after a little more than a minute with the top off. So I figure I'll leave it off the rest of the time now. I plan on leaving it like this for 3 or maybe 4 or 5 more hours. It can't hurt, right? :blsmoke:

Haha yah.
After I made mine, my friend threw me a couple of bucks for 2 of em (he smokes maybe once a week - ish). He ate em both then went to class. He came back all pissed because he said they didn't work. He had to go to another class 10 mins later. After about 5 minutes of him being in class I get a text... along the lines of this.. "Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuk."

I just made some Cannacookies. and I ate 1. I let them get a little brown on the bottom, is this okay? I'm about to eat some more, boy they are tastey :-D

I have made crock pot butter many times, I find that if you put the butter in the crock add the pot set to low lid up and go to bed it always works, on low or keep warm i have never seen one go below 150 F usually it is 160-180F which is plenty hot to convert the thc. I think the next time I make a butter batch I will soak the weed first and change the water several times over the course of a day or two then make the butter. To try to keep the chlorophyll down. Try to banana nut mini muffins with the canna butter, the banana flavor masks the weed taste quite a bit.

also I tend to make a pounds worth when make it and freeze the rest.

other fun canna foods
rasta pasta, heavy on the garlic and sausage. garlic bread with canna butter

you can also take the canna butter mix it with shisha and use it in a hookah to get a vaporizer type high
