Personally, I simmer mine with the butter, for about nine hours. (Don't let it boil!) A lid is helpful. Strain it through a screen, squeeze the excess liquid from the plant matter, refrigerate liquid. I start mine around lunchtime, finish by bedtime, and by morning, it's seperated from the water - you can lift it right off. My recent batch was with one pound of butter, and the trim from 14 plants. The plant matter was already used, to make Gumby hash - and the butter got split between three boxes of brownie mix. Each box made 16 brownies. At that strength, one brownie was enough to mess you up for about 12 hours.

So you made bubble hash first?(one run?) then took the plant pulp from that and simmered it down with butter and water?. You must have used some prime bud tops if it was still that potent after the bubble hash???

Yep, that's what I did. Three of the plants were mystery bagseed, but the rest, were Train Wreck, Moby Dick, White Widow, White Rhino, La Woman and Sour Cream. No bud tops - just sugar leaves and popcorn buds.So you made bubble hash first?(one run?) then took the plant pulp from that and simmered it down with butter and water?. wow doe eyed, great to see you! i just finished my first harvest, this is after buying eight male clones last november. lost my job, i own a house, buy eight male clones, yeah buddy! weird how by christmas i got my job back, make more money now, and just got done with my first harvest!
im glad to get advice from you doe eyed, havent check yer thread in a while, im sure you're still doing great though! i remember last yeah you had four identical four top monsters, it was amazing!
yeah, i think ill try your method, thats pretty amazing you made butter out of already hashed trim, congrats, way to be green! i think ill take an ounce of my fine trim, which was from four plants. i guess that can make enough brownies for one box? ill mix it with like 4 sticks of butter, and some water in the crock pot all day, we'll see how it turns out!

Very nice. will have to try that method. Were you disappointed with the SourCream by DNA?. Had a med pat grow it out last year and it was ultra fluffy with zero smell and bland taste??

Yeah you should have enough. Like I said, mine was too strong, even after having been used once. With the smaller amount, I think I would use maybe two and a half sticks of butter (you'll wind up with about two, when it's done) I bet you could make two batches of brownies with that. Takes about an hour and a half to two hours, for them to kick in - so be patient, and don't be like me, thinking the first one wasn't working and eating another...lol And if that comes out a bit weak (though I don't think it will) you can always adjust accordingly for your next harvest, and eat another brownie.
I was, actually. I expected a lot more, quality wise, based on it's parents, than what it was. Tell ya one that is really good though, doesn't get chatted up much? Moby Dick. That one is some killer smoke, and she has nice, hard buds on her - I grew one out my second grow, topped her for four colas, and she gave 40g dry by herself, vegged under CFL's and flowered under a 400w.
