I couldn't find a "cooking" fourm so here is where i post. Why is it that no one agrees on how long to cook the butter and water. Some say to use a double boiler, some say DON"T let it boil. Some say 30 minutes and other 24 hours!!! WTF ARGH!! Jesus this is the internet and i'm suppose to be able to find out about everything !!!!

I mean, most people don't even differentiate between dank and some swag in they're recipes.. I guess everyone who is on these fourms only smokes dank. As for me, I can't get it like that.

All I want is to know how to cook up some of that green butter and all you people of the internet do is contradict each other!!

Right now I've got 37 grams of some dirt weed in a pot with a pound of butter. I put that pot in a double boiler for 1 hour and then put it directly on the stove which is where it is now(an hour later)I"m probably gonna give it another 30 min- 1 hour It has never came and will not come to a full boil. I'm keeping it just right around, maybe a little under, a simmer..

I"ll have a verdict on the cookies tonight. A DEFINITIVE VERDICT.

Well, that didn't go so well. The only other time i made butter was with clippings from my 5 LR#2 and they were dank. These, not so much. Definitely need more than an ounce per lbs of butter.

Are you using butter with a high fat content? Are you using quality trimmings and or bud?

I don't know amounts for dirt. But the easy way I found is using a crock pot. Put 1 lb of butter and 1 oz of bud and 6 cups of water in the crock pot, turn in on high for 4 hours then leave it on warm for 8 hours. Strain this through cheese cloth and done! No boil and re-boil, etc.
My crock pot has a 4hr on setting then after 4 hours it will go to "warm". So I just fill it in the evening and in the morning strain it.
