Cannot figure this out, is it my light?

I turned the light down,
I am hoping that me top dressing. The plants didn’t cause them a bunch of problems because I was supposed to flip the flower and I began top dressing a few weeks ago.
The last time this happened they weren’t lookin too hot and when I flipped them to flower, everything corrected itself. I don’t understand why it did that but they were sick in veg and when I flipped them they just took off.
I’ve been reading more and more about this light, and I believe that it’s not great for vegging plants. Success with it probably has a lot to do with everyone’s own personal set up and the environment that they are growing in. I’m getting my other light back. Going to swap them out between veg and flower.
If I keep them in veg for another week or so do you think those flowering amendments are going to cause them any problems?
Or do you think I should just test my luck and flip them in a couple days and see if it corrects itself?
I’ve got healthy cuts of everything in there.
I accidentally crossed a runtz mint female to a strawberries and cream male, i got two seeds and the runtz mintz was amazing .
This was going to be the test to see what the F1’s look like. I wanted to cross it back to a Swazi that I have.
So I’m pretty disappointed because I was really excited about seeing this thing.
I watered yesterday and I added about 200 ppm worth of cal mag+ to it
I don’t know how long it’s going to take for them to feel that, but they are healthier today than they were yesterday

If you’re seeing things look better already i suspect it was the light that was the culprit. You’ll typically see them start to recover quite fast after turning down the intensity, so I highly suggest waiting until they are a bit healthier before flipping.

according to hlg https://horticulturelightinggroup.ca/blogs/news/hlg-600-rspec-ppfd-charts-at-different-heights

at 36'' 100% power in a 2x2 , the output is 650umols. he dimmed the lamp at 40% so he should be around 300umol/s. and you guys say theres too much light ;)

the issue there as I said before, is calcium antagonist caused by high vpd stress and low ec.

now you think , increase ec ... but increasing ec might lead to other issue like over fertilization.

the right thing to do is increase humidity or reduce temperature.

The issue I’m about to run into is the flowering top dress. It’s organic and usually starts to kick in about 2 weeks after application. Before they went south I was top dressing and will now have that to deal with. Starting to see new growth having thin bladed leaves because she wants to flip and it’s not happening. Basically backed her into a corner by believing she would bounce back sooner than she did. Luckily I have the cuts from everyone so if it is a loss I’m going to start off in the finishing pot so they have everything they need. The lesson for me in all of this, is that certain LED lights and living soil can be more complicated than water only.
Thinkin about trying DWC out. Pretty intrigued.

Looking like they are bouncing back .
I might switch growing methods up after this. Living soil is amazing but really difficult in small spaces.
So the solution was a transplant into a container big enough for them to spread out. Fed about 200 ppm of cal mag+ to fill the void while they adjusted to the new pot.
Lowered the power of the light.
Increased humidity
I also think that I wasn’t watering enough. I’ve been testing moisture in the soil and there are dry pockets. Sometimes it’s hydrophobic and I need to be more aware of that.
The plant on the bottom left is called SmacDown. Every seed that I popped out of that pack had crazy mutations. The leaves always look wrinkled and it grows sooooo slow.
Hates to be cloned, hates to grow tall. This is the only one I saved because she’s amazing. Appreciate all of your help. Hoping to have some runs without problems.
The two that look happiest never had the timer take a dump so they are good to go still. One of them looks like a male from the cross I’m making.
Hope everyone else makes plants they love
