^...but the radiant energy is..heat..so it will be measured accordingly lol ...is that an improper assumption? the metal probe can ofcourse be slightly warmer because its made of metal but idk if thats what you mean and a slightly higher reading isnt an issue its a lower reading that can cause problems.
