Can't get my soil PH higher than 6.

It's MG organic, so the PH is naturally low. I am using PHup for fish tanks to adjust my water. My run off is test well bellow 6 (can't tell because 6 is as low as the chart reads) so I add a drop or 2 of PH up to a water bottle and it test bright blue (above 7.6 but not sure how high, because the chart tops out at 7.6) The last 2 or 3 waterings have been with this high PH water. The last watering was with 4 drops in one bottle, and the run off PH still reads under 6. Is this aquarium PH up just not strong enough? Everyone else seems to be able to control their PH with water that is around 6.8-7.0. Why is my 7.6+ not doing anything?

I got some hydroponic ph up / down stuff. Im not sure that your aquarium stuff works on plants.

...i'm using aquarium PH up&down .... the cheap stuff even and it's working great :-??

do you use tap water ? if you do, you have to let it stay for at least 10 hr's so the Cl evap's or else it will lock everything and turn you're soil acidic .... been there.

Forgive the misspelling .... have a toke :)
