Can't tell the smell?

Hey guys, i made a home made bong and it's awesome in my opinion, for the bowl and downstem i used a socket and bic pen tube.... there are no burn marks on the tube, or any noticeable melting spots but it smells really bad, in a 'non-weed' way, i guess...... i used a tooth pick and scraped the inside theres a black layer of what im guessing could be resin(?) im not sure but it also smells really bad, and weird,

if any of you have expierence with this type of deal could you let me know what it is and if its safe and if i could smoke it ?? lol thanks guys.

Melting the bic pen. Doesn't have to bubble or melt for the plastics to heat up and release toxins into the air, and worse yet, directly into your lungs. Find something metal at least.

what do u think would happen if i coated the inside of the bic with tin foil, would it help absorb the heat? if not any suggestions of what to use?

I made one in college with a quervo bottle and about $10 in gear from the head shop, a glass slider/bowl set for about $8 and a few cents for a rubber stopper. Then I got a glass drill bit and went at it, that bong lasted forever and I got a to kill a 5th of Tequila first.

if your gonna use tinfoil, you don't need the pen or socket. just get a piece of foil and make the width a little smaller than a pen. then wrap the foil around the pen and make a small cylinder with it. then slide the foil of the pen and bend one of the ends up so it makes a bowl. tinfoil pipe. but honestly, I'd just go out and purchase a cheap piece to toke out of. aluminum is not good for your health.

these are bomb..i make em when i got nothing else.....at camp i actually bought a bag just for smoking cuz there was no pipe shops around

go buy a very cheap glass on glass bong that you can clean

Sockets have oil on them and theres still heat on ur pen

wrap electrical tape int between everything so the platic doesnt touch anything metal and melt. also be careful at how long you keep the flame on that bowl. I lived the first 15 years of my life making plastic bongs and shit I know my stuff lol
