Cantaloupe.. ripe?

this is a cantaloupe i grew from seed in my greenhouse.. Does anybody know if its ripe? or how to tell when its ripe? this is my first time.

it looks a lil under ripe, when fully ripe their should be some grooves growing down it, i always go by smell, if it smells like cantoluope on the outside strong then it is most likely done

Smell it.

Most melon varieties won't show ripeness externally. Size and coloring can be a general guide, especially when you have something to compare to, but the only real way to tell is by smell.
