If I am stopped and concealed carry I just flip my permit out. Then they ask for ID again and I say I just IDed my self I have a concealed carry permit: a upstanding citizen. Want to see my hand gun?? Just stay in the vehicle is next command as they just saw I am 6'4 and 300 pounds. I have found most things are just attitude. Get an attitude with me you get it back! If I move too fast I scare people! I'm 55 I am used to it. First traffic stop I hop out of car in just a pair of cut off blue jeans barefoot and the officer draws down on me. Guess he did not think he could catch the barefoot country boy if he took off running? Probably not!

exactly but he was picking up a prostitute lol thats were he lost all credibility.........and you cant be scared of them it just gives cops an ego boost im sure if it would have been a younger bigger guy the cop would not be talking all that shit......ive stopped a cop mid sentence i have a gun they get kinda bugg eyed at first but then its business as usual if you have a permit lol

Was he really picking up a prostitute? I don't think that was ever factually established. Likely, but definitely not enough evidence to charge, let alone convict.
Either way, both cops should be relieved of duty. Officer #1 for the blatently obvious, and Officer #2 for violation of civil rights (the backseat search w/o permission, warrant, nor probable cause). In addition, Officer #1 needs to serve a little time for deprivation of rights under color of law.

I also heard on a comment thread (so there's no journalistic backing on this) that Canton PD/City offered to drop the charges if he would sign a release not to sue. If that isn't a signal of guilt in part of the city... I don't know what is.

Oh he will find work as a cop in some other unlucky place.....Trouble is that type of personality is exactly what the police departments and law enforcement schools attract.

I had a cop pull his gun on me on the side of the Iinterstate 16 just outside of Macon,Ga in the middle of the night LOL.....Upon being yanked over I exited the truck and walked around the passenger side towards the cop car.....What do I know I'm just a dumb canuck right? LOL.....Damn nearly shat my pants when the big black cop comes running around the back of my trailer with his gun pointed at my head.

Turns out it was a case of mistaken identity.....Someone reported a hit and run accident and gave a description of my truck LOL Apprentley they were angry because I passed them 40 miles back on a 2 lane rd......Cops were like all apologetic and the big balck cop that almost shot my ass musta said sorry 100 times.....they did however school me in how to deal with getting stopped by Ga State cops in the future LOL.

would trump what Officer Harless had said or threatened.

One would expect this kind of action from a police department
in Cairo, Egypt but not Canton, Ohio.

This only compounds this officer's violations of a citizens' 2nd,
4th and 5th Amendment rights.

This only compounds the citizens' mistrust in their government.

So now let's just chuck the 1st Amendment too.
