Bad news sad times...

Being growing this plant for 7 months now 2 to 3 weeks from harvest and the damn aphids are popping up everywhere i see infants and adults ..

Fan leaves have many underneath I have a bit of experience with them but I feel like I should be chopping it now which would suck the buds are still swelling...

I am going to try to spend several hours today cleaning them off with hose spray and possibly a carefull soap brushing on stems

I just thought about ordering ladybugs today express shipped like 500 of them and try and pick them off just don't know how that would go .

I know this just sprung up so they aren't all in the buds yet but with a plant this size and seeing adults and infants it could be a day or hours away from.being garabge .

I can't stomach loosing her I know there's at least 3 pounds on her maybe more lets hope for the best


If anyone has any tips or tricks please share !

I also have many ants on my property always have since we have been here was reading last night they go hand in hand and protect aphids ...

That's shit dude! Did you see them or can you see the leaf damage? How did you find out?

Oh you can see them happened to me last year same exact time ...they are crawling up the stems they blend in so well .

I peeled back every bud from the stem which was easy as its 95 sativa and they are there ...

The outbreaks just got bad over the past few days I am going to try everytbing I can I even thought about hiring a few laborers for a day to pick them off I mean even if its costed me $300 thats nothing compared to loosing 3 to 4 pounds ...

Harvesting with bugs thats one thing I won't do so .

At first glance an average eye misses them as they are usually the same color as stalk

Last year I chopped her to early and that was sept 28 still was good smoke everyone rant and raved about it but I am a week away from that time frame.

I really wanted to see this finish properly as if I chop now it would be a waste the buds are still kind of airy ...

I had big bug problem earlier in the season and found that neem oil was the solution. The problem with that now is the fact that its budding and I think the key is not to get it on the bud sites, not really sure how to tackle a late season bug issue man sorry

Yeah every year I learn a bit more and regular preventative maintenance is definitely needed i should have known this was coming ...

Yeah I think its to late for any sprays...possibly a very light soap spray and very carefully might help but I think with soap you need to do it earlier on and soak the beast thoroughly ... only option is to blast off with hose and hand pick them just hope I can get rid of them even for another week ...

Even if a worst case was to chop alot of the lower branches thats fine I could live with that.


Some.branches have nothing at all yet so I am hoping I can turn this around shit been a long road with these plants ...

Does anyokne know of it would help to unleash 500 ladybugs at this point or ? Like say I had 2.5 weeks left would the ladybugs help or would that be a waste of time and money at this point?

Not concerned about costs at all.

I have done bud washing in the past but I really would rather not do that I know alot of people do that with putdlor plants but shit I really don't like doing it

When I got the ladybugs on mine it was easier in the season, 30 bucks for 1k, got them a a local greenhouse, they were fine for a few days and I would say after 3 days only about 40 stayed around but they did indeed stay because there was food, but my though was with the larva, they showed up a few weeks later and went to town but I'm not sure if its too late in the season for those guys

Well I have done as much as I can with the aphids outbreak on my choc haze seems to be ok now I am in the home.stretch so ...I ended up chopping any highly infected branches I figure I chopped about 12 branches maybe a few ounces worth...she looks bare in the middle back now so not the end of the world...

What a colorful year all my.plants have strong colors especially the bruce banner ..pink as ever and buds are getting big shes a bit behind all.the others but I am.conident she will finsih ontime she might be showing slight signs of calmag def ...

Looks like my.potted plants can be chopped anytime cloudy but still going to wait a few days ...

Mandarin cookies buds are nice and heavy and dank this underdog will be a good yielder I will definitely be growing orange kush cake again next year very very colorful just wish it was re potted prior to flower jus a lil guy ...


Just got a new phone with amazing camera capabilities but still figuring it out I should have it all tweeked by harvest day ...

Plan to dry in my basement and cure /store in 5 gallon lowes buckets with sealed lids ..

I think even with loosing some.branches overall I should hit around 5 to 6 pounds but time will tell .

Few more bruce banner this plants going to have excellent bag appeal ! So cool to be standing in front of the pink is so damn bright and a sharp magenta undertone its only just starting to smell strong now...I figure this gal needs another 3 weeks at least but apparently capable of handling colder temps so we shall see ...

This plant is a1 no major bugs and is very very mild resistant it was in the same tent as others originally with pm and she never caught it super clean inside although I do worry that I didn't defoliate enough in veg shes pretty dark still in the middle during the day ...I have clipped a bunch but don't want to piss her off to much ...

Well I'm going on vacation for 5 days starting tomorrow. Weather is looking pretty wet so I'm nervous about mold. Thinking about doing a partial harvest on my furthest along girl just take maybe 10 of the biggest tops off. What's your opinion on that? Most of the hairs are brown and tricomes are cloudy but not seeing much amber. That tric pic is from a couple days ago.

Thats a tough call man well I have harvested around 13 to 25 plantt since I started and I will tell you his I chopped everyone early by accident they really do put alot of weight on last few weeks trichomes are hard to read typically your suppose to read trichomes on the calyx or bud not any leaves as the leave always mature faster I always checked the bud but now I go by the calyx ...

The cloudy window period could also be like weeks before if starts degrading..

Myself looking at your trichomes they look like you could harvest now but I would wait I bet they get more cloudy for sure ...

How bad is your pm now ?

Yeah man I can see alot of shiny trichs still so don't take what I am saying to literally I mean I am a beginner ish ...but 5 days even if you had an outbreak prob still be ok ...I know this I have fans running 24/7 on mine even through the rain and that has helped significantly mine are also against fence but it did help and may of even saved them all

Well I cut 2 tops out of curiosity more than anything. Couple small dots of pm in the mix and thinking might be more seeds than I was thinking but hard to tell till I break some buds apart. Letting the rest ride and will see how it looks next week. Couple tric pics from this evening.

They do looks good and cloudy yeah honestly can't hurt i think your in the window so like last year I chopped my haze still had white hairs and man it was everyone's favorite and it wasn't even finished so ...if you only have a few dots here and there I think you will be fine on vacation worst case a bit more trimming in my exp takes a while for pm to really take over ..its weird eveytnijg seems to be ahead tbis year I have a feeling I am closer than I think as well...well have a good vacation crossing my fingers for ya...

The bugs end up coming back at all for you? Or still chugging along strong?
