Carbon filter question

I just got my carbon filter in the mail. I pull it out of the box and I have the large body of the filter and a bag with what I guess is the fluffy cotton looking carbon material. What do I do now? Does it wrap aroundthe outside? How?

it should fit like an sleeve the cotton part is the filter and the charcoal is inside the canister.

Thanks! I took the cotton sleeve out of the baggie and looked at it. Should I have gotten some kind of straps or something to secure it to the filter? The "sock" is a little bit elastic so it might not need it.

Make sure its a good filter can gofor one year the shitty ones go for about 3-4 months of continues use
