carbon scrubber mounting

I am curious to know if it will be any problem at all to mount my scrubber horizontally?

I have it vertically now and the way my ducting has to run makes a 180deg bend in the ducting. Yes inefficient.. The room is 12x25x9.5 tall and I have a can filter 100 with a 10" vortex fan. With the ducting issue I would think that mounting it horizontally would optimize its efficiency. Thanks

MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ENOUGH SPACE BETWEEN THE WALL AND THE CYLINDER WALLS, sorry for caps.

you need to be able to slip a filter over it and you might need to change the coal. think ahead.

Good point! I can accommodate that for sure. horizontally will work just as good then?

o ya no problems. i can see one mounted to a moving hook in the ceiling and having the ability to move the scrubber wherever in the room its needed.

Ok good! I was thinking of building hard mounts to the ceiling and wall to rest the scrubber on while I exchange the pre filter as needed. So rest it on the mounts and lift one end to get the new pre filter started and then have another mount at the other end to leverage up to finish slipping on the rest of the pre filter. with a 10 inch vortex fan i cant imagine with the horsepower and CFM it moves that having your filter vertical or horizontal would make a noticeable difference in efficiency.. go with whatever is more convenient in respect to your setup

if it's 180 deg. out... why can't you flip the filter over? I normally have them mounted horizontally.

How my ducting has to be ran, if I leave it verticle the amount of bends is just to much. I want the most out of my equipment as I can get and my flower room being 3000cu. ft I am on the edge of not having enough cfm's with no bends. If I mount it horizontally I will have a soft bend less than a 45.
