I'm trying to research ahead for flowering andthis is my deal, I's Ozone dangerouse to me and my cat in my little apartment? carbon fans sound good but I have no ventilation out of my walk in closet, Can these be used effectively in a look in the same room?

I'm planning on flowering early, mainly as a trial run for fun and i'm thinking of putting white mylar up in the closet to prevent smell travel, but im not sure what I should spend my money on, The carbon fan or ozone stuff.

I'f anyone has any budget ideas to go with their opinions that would be great.

Oh BTW theres gonne be in lt 2 plants MAX in there

yea if you are around it enough if messes up your lungs or suthin. It's deadly tho i kno dat.
Check out some not so stinky strains bra and get ona gel if you really on budget but its kinda noticable when just masking.
Do you know wat strain u growin bra?

I see you said you cant get rid of the air i really dont know you should try the ozone den just try n stay out da closet so much i guess. U said 2 plants max get sum plug in ona block n a small blueball like ozone gen.

Hope dis helps u out bra.

If ya box is enclosed i believe so, but you want to have like a glade plugin in ya other rooms for a certain scent all day everyday.
A ona block in front da fan is good too. Those pet neutralizers are good too. I use a pure citrus w/ acitvated carbon in it and works great for the small smells dat penetrate out my homeboxes.

Purple hard buds is what i like to hear bra. Take it easy

I've had really good luck with the carbon scrubbers but I've been thinking about buying one of the UV ozone generators. All my odour is controlled from an outer room so it shouldn't hurt my plants.

Carbon scrubbers and ozone gen can't hurt the plants. I said ozorn can hurt you if breathed in enough like right where you sleep or occupy dat space regularly for long periods of time.

Yeah, I would also like someone to put up a list of the diffrent odor controls from best to worst.

I have used a ozone generator in the past with great results but its best to have something like a baflle box or room to mix the 03 with the smelly air. If the 03 doesnt get mixed with the air well enough the extra oxygen molecule does not have a chance to attach to the odor molecule. Ozone generator has to go somehwere after the exhaust fan.

If you put 03 directly in the grow room you will "burn" the plants. O3 is even able to oxidise metal over a long period of time.

I would say for the best odor control in order (just IMHO)

1. Carbon scrubber and ozone
2. Carbon scrubber (DIY scrubber can be tricky, i prefer to buy real ones)
3. Ozone used properly
4. ONA gel (i think it smells like shit some people swear by it, if you like the smell of laundry.....)

I dont feel there is even a 5th odor control method out there that would give good results.

Sweet thanks, I've convinced myself (thnx to the people on these forums) to build a grow box. I will soonbe able to use a scrubber venting into my bedroom, but if o3 is harmful, I guess I will opt out of the ozone idea.

Ozone generators, they work well to mask odors. The blue ball thing does not provide enough ozone to overcome these odors, you need something a bit bigger. You can put it right in your grow closet, it won't harm the plants unless its a really high level generator and even then it would have to be pretty close to the plants. You know you have a high level of ozone when it hurts your lungs to breathe it, that is too much.

A carbon filter won't help you unless you can seal up that closet and have 1 intake fan at the bottom and the scrubber on an exhaust fan at the top. The closet has to be kept sealed and at negative pressure so no stink seeps out. if you can accomplish this it will work better than the ozone generator, but will cost more, and be much more labor intensive.

Are you saying the level of ozone in order to rid the smell of a grow room is not harmful to the plants.....i call BS.

I had 200mg/r which didnt clean my air unless i mixed it properly and it was in my ambient room. Pulling the 03 in through my intake even burnt my plants.
