There are test strip version, like a litmus paper type thing. Check the hydro shops.

I spent $450 on mine. But has outputs so my 'brain' can control it. (does temp to, but have temp/humidity modules on the way) I can also write it off since I have a HVAC license but mainly work on CO2 lasers

Thanks man. I'll check for the litmus paper version next time I'm at the grow shop. 450 is a little high for me. I'm saving for a reverse osmosis machine right now. After that I'll be saving to set up a bigger grow room for flowering. But if I can get a litmus paper version, I'd do that right now.

cool. I was already planning on going to htg in a couple days to pick up a couple bags of grow medium. I'll grab a tester kit too.

Still in testing. but no great shakes. might have gotten 100ppm rise. Thats a 2 liter bottle with 2 cups sugar and one packet of yeast. Gonna test no sugar/yeast and just keep vent fans on and see what happens.

it wont produce lots with ventilation i dont think. this is because to produce CO2 the bacteria in yeast need to respire anaerobically (without oxygen). with the fans it provides oxygen so less CO2 is produced wit is probably why it won't rise by huge amounts. of course you need the fans to provide the plant with fresh air to counter heat problems and allow the plant to lose water.

I had vent fans off for 2 days. Temps stayed under 79. So it was just the yeast-mix and the plants. The tube from the yeast is above the CO2 meter, so its not on the other end of the closet. I'm thinking its gonna need about 4-8 of the 2 liter bottles in this closet. Its 2 feet by about 7 or 8 and 7 feet high. At $18 for a 20lb'er of CO2, the bottle might be cheaper.

My room is 288 cubic feet! The mix is 1 five pound bag, I don't know how many cups that is. About 3 or 4 gallons water in my 5 gallon tank. An 3 little paks of yeast.
