Good luck mountain. I tried the tchf but they told me after 2 attemps that my med recored were insufficiect becuase of some silly technicallity.

I recently attended a fair in Highlands Ranch were there was a med marijuana clinic booth. CannaMed.org - they accepted my records and offer a full money back guarentee if my application is denyed for any reason.

I'm sure THCF will come through for you, but if not, check out cannamed.org

My condition is chronic headaches resulting in insomnia. The doc didn't include the word "chonic" in his chartnotes. I called my doc and he was nice enough to write me a letter "to whom it may concern" saying that I indeed suffered from chronic headaches and insomnia. THCF told me it still was not acceptable, that it must be an adendum to the medical chart notes.

That was when I came across CannaMed, totally by chance. I faxed them everything I had and was assured that I'd be approved. I recommend CannaMed over THCF any day.

I won't be going in for my appointment until Oct, so I won't know for sure until then, but it sounds promising

How often had you been in to see your doctor for these headaches? Was he treating you for them with medications or anything? I know one of the criteria is that your condition is documented in your medical notes from 3 different visits within the last 3 years. I'm just trying to figure out why they denied you.

My wife has chronic migraines and has had them since high school. She goes in to her doctor semi-regularly to try new medications, or to get injections for some of her more massive migraines. She also used to regularly see a chiropractor for adjustments that would sometimes help prevent migraines (though it was hit and miss). All of this is of course documented, but now you've got me worried that if they didn't mention the word "chronic" then she might be denied a recommend, even though the many visits over the years makes it clear the condition is chronic.

jaydoe71 did you actually go to the thcf clinic and see them? or did you just talk to them on the phone?

Hey Mountain, sorry I dissappeared for a while. I only talked to then on the phone, they won't make an appointment for you until you have everything they want.

So did you get your card? My appt with CannaMad is Oct 3rd, and I'm told I can drive outta there right to a dispensory as long as I have some kind of written confirmation that I have the doc's approval.

I plan on taking the trip to Co Springs to Cannabis Therapeutics - I've touched base with the owner and I must say it sounds very impressive.

Please let me know how you make out

Mountainhigh8, is it only $180 for everything at THCF?
A friend in COS told me that CannaMed is $340 for everything.

If it's only $180, then I think I'll go to THCF instead.

I wish you the best on getting it Thursday!
From what I understand, it can be a breeze for some and a pain in the ass for others.

I guess Cannamed charges $340 for the doc and the license. But my friend has been waiting for several weeks and hasn't gotten anything in the mail yet.

Yep, I think I will check out THCF first.

Thanks for the help!
:peace:

I'm in the process of becoming a Colo resident. Housing market isn't that much different than Nevada right now so, I'm just out looking for the time.

JayDoe71, I'd double check on what that $290 includes.

" You will need to wait around 35 days for your license at that price. Unless they have changed their deal".

It takes around 35 or so days to get the license. Pay extra $ to get a temp license that day from them.
My friend didn't know this when they got out there and didn't have the extra money and so, is having to wait to get the license from the state and do without in the meanwhile.

Maybe they changed it within the last month. Might want to take some extra cash just in case though.

I went to the THCF to get my card. Did you actually go into the clinc twice?? I am almost sure that their policy is if they call you in for an appointment you are a sure thing. They deny you based on the medical history you fax in and let you know you are not a good canidate instead of making an appointment. I have had several people I refered or know of that have went throught the THCF as well. Dr Orvald is a good guy who really cares about his paitents. You get alot of good info when you go in. Its was a pleasant experience. And the 180 or 200 is tax deductable cause its acutally a donation to a 501c non prof! After my visit the state had my card to me in like 5 days, it was a glorious day!

My wife and I both sent our records over to the Colorado THCF clinic and they called us back the next day saying that it all looked great and that we were definitely good candidates for the card. They are ready to set up an appointment with us as soon as we move into the state, which will be REAL soon!

The appt. with THCF is $180 if you pay in advance and $200 if you pay at the time of the appointment. And then you need to mail in $90 to the state with your recommend and application to get the card.
