Cardboard Grow Box ?

This may seem horribly "ghetto" but it seems like a great idea to me especially when using low heat lights like cfls:

A nice large thick sturdy uhaul "grand wardrobe box" for hanging clothes in wardrobe bar included for hanging lights from perhaps and only 12 bucks.

Just a thought it may sound like a horrible idea but with some ingenuity you could easily make a great box. It's a little over a quarter inch thick very sturdy easy to cut holes in for fans holes and you could even make a door... or whatever your heart desires. The only problems would be heat exposure to the cardboard and humidity to the cardboards paper but(realistically) I doubt that cfls or humidity in a small grow would damage a cardboard box, especially painted white or with mylar.

Let me know what you guys think... and yes I'm aware there are better ways but this seems like a good super quick, cheap, and convenient thing for first time small growers.

I wouldn't be too concerned about the humidity inside if its well vented - its the other water factors I'd be worried about. Leak in the basement, washing machine valve break, hydro grow leak, be wary of anything that can soak the box. Espeically if you've got a light hanging from the top - that weight will make it fall collapse like a pile of sloppy cardboard :-)

Thanks guys and well noted jack except I'm growing in my room in pots. The box is also extremely sturdy as I mentioned there's a built in rod for hanging things on so it should be good. :)

Any pics? I also am looking into the "UHAUL Wardrobe" myself and I am curious. I currently have 3 27W 6500 for 1 2 week old.
