okay, i have a 3pin cpu/case fan that runs off of DC. I found a AC to DC adapter. The case fan has a ground wire and the adapter does not. I have never had to wire something with a ground wire. so the big question is what do i do with the ground wire?

fuck the ground wire, it is not important.

positive to positive, negative to negative is all you need on a pc fan.

make sure that adapter is sufficient. it should be 12 volts. most phone adapters are only 5-9 volts.
