Se we have two cats. One is kind of long haired and she used to have a problem with hairballs.
Then one day i had a plant down on the floor for her to sniff and she starts fucking NOMing my plant. It was a male so i was ok with the damage. So now she throws a fit whenever i water because she wants a leaf. So i feed her one, i dont foliar feed so i know it's not toxic. Thing is, since i've started feeding her a leaf every other day or so, the hairball problem seemes to have gone away. I just feed her undergrowth (read: small leaves) and leaves that are starting to go pale during flowering.
I am pleased that the hairball problem has gone away.
Just putting this out there in case anyone else has had a similar experience.
