Cause why the hell not. Organics

Hello thought i document this grow from the get go, a couple of weeks in the grow already.

Strains: cannalope haze, lsd, blue cheese auto and lemon ak auto

My grow space is 5x3, lighting 1x optic 2 + 1x gc led 128 + extra led bulbs for adjustments.
Total wattage around 450.

Soilwise my mix is 1/3 sphagnum, 1/3 ewc, 1/3 perlite and a layer of lavastone in the bottom. Plus i put some bat guano, kelp, fish powder and myccos in the 7gal pots for integration till the transplant. Ill be doing 1 transplant this go cause i wanna avoid too much hassle.

The autos will be going in 3.5gal pots with the same mix.

Seedlings are in day 17 from when i put them in water, 3 days later they were coming up from the soil. I find that the growing rate of a seedling is the same throughout from the day it hits the first water, thats why i count from that day. What do you think of this? Interested to read your inputs.

So 2-3 days ago i saw the 2 cannalopes were getting a bit yellow between the veins. What can go wrong in well planned organics wtf? It was just me being lazy not PHing the water which is 8.4 where i live, so after 3 waterings the soils ph was climbing high causing elements to be locked out.
Easy fix, i ph the water down to 7.5 with some lemon. Hopefully in the next few days they ll be all green again.

Yesterday i topped the plants at the 4th node.

About the ph, I found out that it was too high after i last watered them... so i only gave them a little of the corrected ph so that i wont cause overwatering. Yeah it was a LWS

Day 23 (20)

Watered with the right ph yesterday, 7.5. This morning they were still a bit yellow, lsd also. The autos are proper well. I guess its time for the transplant. Yessssss!!

I found a seed that was given to me last year from a friends breed, so that goes in too. It has already poked a lil root in the paper towel, it ll go straight in the 3.5gal pot today. Transplant incoming

Right. Transplant happened but i been watering the pots with the wrong ph for a month prior so the photoperiods in the first 3-4 days were a bit dodgy and leaves were shriveled. Lsd also shown yellowing, nearly half of the leaf was yellow. No panic. I knew the mistake.

The autos didnt feel a thing, they both already shown pistils. Too soon at day 24 from soil? I planted that extra seed i had but it went missing. Wtf? I put another lemon ak today.

Day temp is 85, humidity around 45% could be better. Microbes and myccos working their money on this cause the last couple of days they been vigorous. Especially the canalopes. They re the biggest.

Fkin thousands of fungus gnats having a party, i had to put an end to it. Covid b**ches!!!!

Look at the tiny LSD in the second pic. I topped it and then topped again but the middle shoot also came up. Can you see it, whats that about? First time i see this in my short career

Should ph be that high in soilless?

I believe sphagnum moss will reduce your pH anyway, by quite a lot sometimes depending on the type.

Yea too much for no reason. I ll bring it down now.
Maybe wrong statement when i said that the right ph is 7.5. It was right for that moment. Didnt wanna water straight away with such a difference in ph.

But it works up to a point. I been watering this for 30 days at 8.6- 8.4! Now after 2 waterings at 7.5 and 7.3 the soil probe is stuck at ph7 in all of the pots.
I 'just' remembered, normally my mix is always at ph7 and if i water anything less than that they ll yellow a bit. I watered up to 7.8 for a couple of consecutive waterings with no problems.

Its 6.5 at the start with the ewc

So i been topping the photoperiods again today all over. Everyone is growing alright... i also watered them with ph7.1. The next one will be proper straight 7. Even the little one poked out but looks a bit yellow we ll see how it turns out. First time dumping seeds straight to soil. Its the grow journal confidence i guess.

Yesterday i bashed some malted barley and top dressed around the edges of the pots as i couldnt wait any longer i had to do it you kno. The result is that lsd has a couple of leaves with a bit of a yellowing tip... is alright, the microbes are working against that sh*t. Hopefully.

On another note the central top of the lsd which isnt supposed to be there, as i topped it 2 weeks ago, comes up with two tops finally. So i got that going for me which is nice. Its the little things.

+++ Bonus picture at the end is the worm bin, some dry figs and malted barley in this feeding. The web occured within 18 hours.

Day 36

Finally watered at ph7 for the first time. Ahhh at last. A few fungus gnats still roaming around. I forgot to mention at the beginning of the journal that theres a handful of red wrigglers in the pots.

Tiny lsd, in the last picture, couldnt take the malted barley thus showing a couple of burnt tips nevertheless grown an inch within 24hrs. First noticeable growth in a week. The blue cheese also has very little yellowing on a few tips for now.
Just had to feed them smth, i wasnt doing much No worries. Thats the thing in organics, it gives you room to play with errors. What can i say... I PLAY lol

This cannalope goes. Expecting 24 tops.

I think im close to switch to flower. Another 10 days maybe... so im done with the toppings. They re in a nice shape and i think ill be getting some good stuff out of em. I wanted around 65-70 days veg but i have to do it earlier. Ahhhh

I spread some diatomaceous earth to help with the last gnats and for some silica. Im still not 100% sure if its the proper silica "needed". Do you know?

Ph flactuation continues. Sorta purposely this time. I ph' ed the water at 7 and put urb with molasses in the bubbles. After a few hours i just watered them with it, i couldnt be bothered to ph but as soon as i watered them i thought what the hell so i ph'ed and it came out 8.3!! Lazy for nun. Still not perfect but what does that even mean

Is about that time in the grow where i wish i had two of the biggest plant and fill the whole tent like that or maybe take clones. Damn it.

This post is about the tent master. All stretched sideways. Did some proper tying and im set for the switch tomorrow. Its 27" across ffs.

Also this is the like the 30th time i use diatomaceous earth and as usual it does fk all for gnats. They just roam on it through it and building fkin blocks with it. I always hope it ll do something. Well...

Day 4 FL

Ok enough with the laziness, watering is on point ph7. Dehu is fixed at 50%. Getting it together for my annual stash amigos! Dehu out an running means anticipation could start kickin in at any point. For the fun of it.

Ill be leaving my town on a weekly basis starting next week so theres an extra quality fuckery.

Bit of streching on the go, been pulling the ties down. Done a very light defoliation on some bottom leaves and noticed the big cannalope had a couple of leaves looking to be an early phosphorus def. Didnt add anything as it could be whatever really. We ll see in a few days, got my radars on.

Last grow i had an 8watt led filament lamp 2100k close to my autos and by this time they were covered in early frost but they also had 100gr each of fresh shrimp shells decomposing for a few months prior. I dont see a single trich in these yet. Pf

End of 1st week flower today mukkas.

Watered around 800ml, ph7 for the photoperiods and added 5ml urb and 3gr of molasses(unsulf of course). Half of that for the autos.

Some preflowers starting to show also some stokeness for meself lol

The lemon ak starts to put some weight. The blue cheese is 10 days slower.
The big cannalope is going strong wish i could take clones theres still timmmmme damn it. The rest are doing good too. The stem of the lsd is thinner than a smoothie straw but thats what it was in my last run which i lollipopped and it yielded 100grams.

The 2nd in row is the lemon ak. Its almost double than the cheese. It doesnt show in the picture.

Day 16 flower

Smells are kickin in, is like gassy floral lemon! It changes my mood everytime. Life is good.

Plants are growing along put on the net today, switched on the bloom on the optic and put a few led bulbs 2.7k and 2.1k. My plug says 379watts. 3 of my other bulbs broke so that ll be it for this run. Cant be bothered hahah!

I fed all of them some guano and palm ash (thicc stuff). About the autos i really like their sturdiness in comparison to the photoperiods, always like this, also some frost only on the cheese. The extra lemon ak only knows 12-12 so the stretch is ON with it! The big cannalope seems like its gonna have many little buds which i dont really enjoy. I wont be going crazy with the toppings again on only 6 weeks of veg. Humid ~50% temps 78, WE ARE GOOD. All the best to youz

Kept thinking for a couple of days why the big cannalope has poor flower leaves. A few hours ago i checked underneath the canopy and a couple of leaves were yellowing up. Nitrogen deficiency it is!

Mixed some fish flour with some urb, left it in the bubbles and then watered it down. Hopefully it ll get back on track and the loss is minimum. I wanted to take it easy with the amendments this run. Never again, live and learn mukkas!
I would like a second tent to experiment with fpj and korean culture but... i need my stash, no room for experiments atm.

Day 20FL

Been lifting the optic at 31" finally, still stretching. The small cannalope looks like is gonna have the biggest buds, its respond to the toppings was in stretching only one of the two new tops. Blueb cheese has a few red hairs while the lemon ak none at all still puts on weight. Sativa like indica and indica like sativa, 2020 sh*t lolz. Ill chop them at all milky trichs so sativa ftw!
