Cdl info

My boss mentioned sending me for a CDL with an air brake endorsement... I wont be driving trucks except for picking them up and delivering them.. Anyone know if I have to piss for that???

Nah I wont get randoms unless the state does it. I wont be driving trucks other than picking one up once in a while. Boss is actually wasting money having me get the cdl...

to put on the list for a random, when he employs your cdl.
one of the worst jobs ever for smokin. pull the truck out of the pickup spot, cruisin good, everything feels ok, then CRASH. some teeny bopper bitch just wrecks herself on your dumptruck.
you go immediately for a drug/alcohol screen.

Yeah, I'd go with the fake piss before I'd carry around real piss lol. The kind i had you just put in the microwave for 11 seconds, wrap the hand warmer they give you around it, and then put it in your pocket until you have to squirt it in the cup. It was actually easier to get away with than i thought and it's only like $20-30. I keep an extra one in the glove box now just in case.

Thats correct. They are required by DOT law to have a file, on hand, that shows your medical certificate, mvr, and a record of random screen dates. They are in violation if they don't do it. Some companies still don't bother, but the DOT can and will stop by at some time, and all hell breaks loose if things aren't straight.

The laws are so strict now that most CDL drivers simply don't bother smoking any more. Like stated, if some teenager hits you, you get tested, and you wouldn't believe the fines for violations.

I would come up with a medical reason you shouldn't be the one to get the license bro. Besides, I thought they sniffed you out the other day?

If u need your medical card you have to Piss but that's not a drug screen however if you are employed as a cdl holder you have to follow the federal motor carrier laws. I have my class a cdl. I never had to take a random but they always told me I would have to take randoms. only tests I've taken we're for pre employment.

Thankfully I'm in a different line of work now and I don't even have to worry about testing. My boss doesn't believe in them. He thinks what people do on their own time is none of his business. As a manager I am thankful for his open minded thinking. Our employees are as well. We employ over 70 men and women and never have problems with this policy.

They did snirf me out lol.. Im going to tell them I suffr from anxiety/panic attacks and dont belong in a semi.. its not what I was hired for anyways...

hell my production manager has told me he's been thinking about getting his card. not too worried if he knows i have mine. may even end up with a new patient

Ahh come on, years ago I was hired at a cemetery for groundskeeping, basically property maintenance. I ended up doing burials the second week. I was like, wtf, really?

press on that's not what I was hired for, plus the anxiety thing. are you sure that this recent proposition is not in someway related to the smell incident from the other week? maybe a coincidence, be careful if that's possible.

If they aren't willing to pay you extra$ for the job why take on the risks and responsibilities. Stay with what you do and let some other shmuck do the dirty work.

I'm actually a supervisor lol, the owner wants me to get the cdl for "just in case" needs only.. I have no problem telling him I have anxiety attacks and in reality, I get them while driving and sure as fuck don't want to be in a semi having one lol.

Belle's son recently got a cdl. No fucking job, just a cdl. Got it at some clown school up here. One week in the classroom on week in the truck, (which was only a few DAYS!!!)
All this fucker talks about is loosing it. I don't understand. I went online and bought the kit of synthetic urine. He quit smoking many many months ago. spring or summer time.
One our patients is dating a trucker and they just nailed him with this 3rd dirty piss. He has to go to some classes and couseling, pay out of his pocket and he's good again.
Belle's brother in law flies planes at Oakland Inter. in Waterford and he goes to work every day with a duffle bag for work. It has his lunch, whatever bullshit he carries AND synthetic
urine in case/when they test him.
I am not sure what occupation you guys are talking about? CDL's are the strung out fuckers that rarely bathe and do whatever drugs are available at truck stops ain't they? Being 7th in

I'd say you're right on the over the road guys. Most of them are burned out. I'd say as long as you got synthetic urine on you you'd be good to go. Side not them trucking schools are a scam. Either you get your cdl and can't get a job due to no experience, or a company will pay your loans while you work for them for basically nothing. When you quit you're stuck with a $6000 loan payment and without 6 months or more on the road nobody will hire you. Best bet is to get in as a dock loader and move up into a driving position. The trucking business has really gone down due to all of the unemployed people willing to do whatever it takes to secure a well paying position. That takes at least a few years to o gain though. Most people don't make it that long. Trucking companies know this and it allows them to keep cost down to land the Walmart type accounts they need to sustain their nation wide fleets mor you get duped into being an owner operator. Then you make 120 grand a year...but after fuel and all the other costs you'll be living in your truck all year to bring home 60 grand...if you're lucky. It's a big risk to be in. Fuck all that noise. I'd rather get paid every week and be home with my family every night.

I mostly lurk around here but here is my 2 cents. I have a michigan CDL class A air brakes all that jazz. I merely just have the endorsement and have only used it once in the 7 years I have had it. I am 110% positive I did not have to take a piss test. I remember all I did was get the physical exam and take the road test with 128 point inspection and all that. I don't remember any drug test because I would have failed for sure if I had taken one. I also have renewed my license twice since then and no drug test then either just pay em the cash.

If your listed as a driver for the company....u will be in mdots random testing. If your name gets called....the company has 60 days to send u in.
As long as your not listed as a driver on the companies insurance plan u shouldnt have to worry about randoms. When u piss for your medical card they just test strip it for sugar levels etc. And it gets dumped out in front of you. I hid what i did for the last 15 years of my life till this fall when i failed my last one. Sometimes u get lucky and go years without getting called...then your name will get called for 4 years in a row like mine did. Got sick of hiding it and covering it up with all the body detox kits and other bullshit i said hell with it time to move on. On the other hand ....if u can find a doctor to write u a script for marinol u can get away with thc in your system. No more piss tests for me . .i shouldnt have to hide what i can legally do on my time!
