Does running central air into you're grow room use more energy if its on for say 30 mins then off for 30 mins and keeps going like that vs. Been steadily on without turning off?? Basically does the unit take a lot of energy to turn on??
Not a significant amount. Compressor inrush current during start lasts for about 2 seconds. Starting and stopping every 5 minutes may shorten the life of the ac.
