Central NY grow….first time (Brothers Grimm genetics)

I’m from northern ny , and honestly this heat and lack of rain has been amazing , aside from having to hand water my ladies 4x a day “outdoor grow in coco ”

My photo period seeds all sprouted mid may , theyre gonna be 8 weeks old in 8 days .

these gorilla glue mothers have been topped 3x and butchered for clones , and a few today stretched out to 6 foot tall in 10 gallon fabric pots with coco .

I’m doing a run of autos this week , to pack one last harvest into my 20x10 greenhouse , and have a few autos finishing over the next 3-5 weeks as well.

im lucky enough to work and grow on a licensed farm. .

love seeing fellow New Yorkers growing ! For years we all had to gorilla grow in the shadows !

seen a lot variation in auto ..... some look and smell good, but when you put them under your boot so to speak, there's nothing between the paper....like, it wouldn;t be worth washing them as your yield would be well under 1% on fresh frozen...some are that bad... others, much better...what's this

only seen it on one branch thank god but still…hopefully it stays that way lol already battling septoria
I feel you, I’m going to my garden tomorrow and in hope that it hasn’t gotten worse or spread. Could it by chance be because of cold temps at night? Also what strain is that…the leaf serrations are crazy.

could be, it is starting to get cool here..gonna be high 40s/low 50s at night this week. And
that’s a Peyote Cookies, they are hahaha buying another pack of it, love growing thus strain out, such a nice structure/smell

Hell yea, I’ll look them up…I have been developing a list of strains to buy to start a little bank for myself

I agree , unless buying top quality genetics like nightowl /speedrun , the phenos seem to be all over the place .

I will say this out of 10 gorilla cookies from fastbuds , I got 4 different phenotypes and all are very very good

Ok so I’m doing 3 posts instead of one huge post with a bunch of different things to focus on. First post will focus on Berry/Pineapple/Apollo’s progress. Second will have to do with Purple’s transplant/first day of being outdoor and third will be about the weird purple/blackish growth some of the plants in the garden are showing.

Ok, Berry/Pineapple/Apollo….what can I say? They’re killing it!! Huge stretch since last week….looking super healthy and green, Pineapple is further ahead in flower then Berry and Apollo but not far and I think Berry and Apollo will catch up. Yesterday was the last feeding of Veg nutes and the last defoliation. I guess I’ve been treating these girls a little like indoor plants, but I’m defoliating and lollipoping more for overall health/airflow reasons than light penetration. I’m preparing for molds, fungus, rot. In these pictures you can see I haven’t taken a ton off just enough so I can see “through” the plants. Check them out and the beginning buds on Pineapple!!~View attachment 5416306View attachment 5416307

Looking good I would be worried having those plants on the drip line from the roof once buds get going just a heads up.

That be strange the witches broom here I know of is a thing with trees more so like birch and stuff unless it's something different under the same name ? To me that looks like phytoplasma

Yes that is phytoplasma lots of times mistaken for witchs broom that also infecteds the plant we love.

@thumper60 thanks for the advice….not much I can do about the locations of the plants…that’s the designated spot the owner of the land told me I could grow…I’ll do what I can to keep the buds safe from moisture and rain. I’m going to the garden today so I’ll take a look at the stem. I’m hoping it’s nothing just purpling from cooler temps/genetics/low phosphorus

Growers….hope you’re all well. Haven’t been able to post till now and have a lot to share. As I did last week I’m going to break my posts up into two. First let’s talk about the gardens overall progress and then move onto the purplish black growth I’ve been seeing on some of the plants. This marks the first week of bloom nutrients being used ie Advanced Nutrients pH Perfect Sensi bloom A+B, Bud Ignitor, Big Bud, and Bud Candy. Upon arrival Sunday two things stood out…first pineapple is in full flower now and is looking and starting to smell fantastic ie sweet/spiced rum/petrol…very interesting. Second Apollo was again showing nitrogen deficiency which blew me away as last week she was very green and happy….all the stretch must have really depleted her. I feel bad cause I removed a lot of yellowed leaves….call it her final defoliation I guess….was mostly lower leaves and larf, just hoping it doesn’t effect harvest. Yesterday I went back and gave her some Cal Mag 4-0-0 so im hoping that helps. One question for you all….what week of flower is optimal to start the fade? Week 5? I just want to time it for Apollo to ween off the nitrogen. Berry is starting to pop pistils nicely and is still stretching slightly looking very healthy besides the purplish black growth on some of the heads which I’ll get to later on my second post. Purple is in full stretch mode and is loving the outdoors and it’s five gallon pot…the growth within a week amazed me, I’ve decide to hold off on bloom nutes for Purple as I transplanted her into FFHF last week and want some of those amendments to deplete first. Check it out>>>>IMG_6926.jpegIMG_6932.jpegApollo~IMG_6933.jpegBerry~IMG_6927.jpegPurple~IMG_6931.jpegIMG_6935.jpeg

Hey guys…been a couple weeks since I’ve posted, hope you’re all doing well in flower. Things are really starting to get exciting in the garden….Pineapple is getting chunky and I’m loving it. She smells like spiced pineapple with a hint of vomit….dank. Apollo, Berry, and Purple are all trucking along and am excited to see how they start to express themselves as they mature furthur along. As a whole each plant is around 4-5 weeks into flower with Pineapple far ahead of any other individual. I know I never did a follow up post on the purple/black growth berry was expressing….as of today she is growing out of it and is showing new clean/clear bud growth so that is huge. Check it out!!!>>>IMG_6959.jpegIMG_6960.jpegIMG_6962.jpegPina starting to chunk out~IMG_6971.jpegIMG_6963.jpegIMG_6966.jpegIMG_6967.jpegIMG_6968.jpegIMG_6970.jpeg

A great week in the garden!! About 5-6 weeks into flower. I’ve had some extra days off from work this week and have been able to tend to the girls a little more than usual which has been super nice/therapeutic for me. The star of the show without a doubt is Pineapple. She’s getting super chunky and resinous with pineapple vomit terps!! Her buds got so heavy I had to stabilize the main stalk and tie the buds to it. Second in show is Berry, I think she’ll be my heaviest yielder and could potentially outshine pineapple in the coming weeks of development. Lastly, Apollo and Purple….Apollo has a super sativa structure, growth, and is taking longer to develop. I’m hoping she starts getting chunky and resinous like Pineapple. Purple is trucking along nicely, she’s about a week behind everyone else but her buds are starting to show first signs of purple with hopefully more in the coming weeks. Excuse all the pictures, I’m just a super proud dad>>>>>IMG_7026.jpegIMG_7043.jpegApollo~IMG_7016.jpegBerry~IMG_7018.jpegIMG_7044.jpegIMG_7045.jpegPurple~IMG_7046.jpeg
