Let me put it this way. I bought a King 3x 900W. It looked really good in the add on Amazon. All kinds of good reviews (probably put up by the seller).

Likely to suck, mine SUCKS big time. Some of the things I've read about the lights on Amazon aren't to good. They are most made by just a couple of companies so sometimes two lights look different and have different names.

A few days ago in the grow journal someone showed a strip grow light. Build a frame, attach the strips of LEDs, wire them together, It looked good.

I defiantly want to keep it under 2k. Trying to cover a 5x5 cannopy. My problem is that I’m in Canada and shipping such a heavy product from the US will probly cost a fortune.

I was hoping there might be some good suppliers here

I'm really not working on a budget. Just trying to go the least expensive route. Amazon.ca? Not US? I live in Oklahoma, USA, so as far as I know we only use amazon.com.

Where are you from?

I really think you would be interested in that strip lighting. If I can find the thread I'll put it up here. It appears that you can make them in any configuration you want. It looked like if you wanted a 5'x5' frame with the light strips 6' apart, that's what you make. Next time I set up an indoor grow I'm going to look very close at these.

With these being more of an industrial light they are bound to be sold in Canada.

25 sqf needs at least 800 watts of good quality intense light

timbergrowlights has a 900 watt cob light that goes for around 1300... as far as i know, that's the cheapest ready made light for that space that will be reliable...

Of course you can always build your own for a fraction of the cost, if you're willing to watch a few videos and read a bit

i just tested my first prototype it’s working good, just gotta organize the wires and such .

It says test temperature 80 Celsius is there anyway to get a rough idea if my heat sink is doing the job ? I don’t think I have a laser thermometer.
