What up RIU. I have two plants, about a week old, so I guess they are still seedlings. I pulled them both from the humidity dome when they broke ground, and kept them under a 20w florescent tube and they did great under that. Once the oldest started getting its second pair of foliage leafs I moved it under CFL's equaling to 32000 lumens, and ever since one of the leaf tips have begun to turn brown. Should I move it back to the 20w grow light for a few more weeks? I still have one under it, and it seems to be doing just fine. To sum this up, when is it acceptable to move it to vegging light?

This is the one under the CFLS with the brown spot.

20 hours later still progressing after I raised the lights.

Here is the youngster under the 20w

And again 20 hours later..
So not only is there a browning spot, but its also stunted in growth. The answer is apparent, to much light to soon, but the question is, when isn't it? TIA .. Happy growing.
