I started off using CFL's and got some good yields (once almost 2 oz off of one plant). I have upgraded to a HID, but CFL's do a damn good job if you know what you are doing.

Yeah my buddy pulled 5 ounces from 2 plants with cfl's. He used 200Watt Full Spectrum CFL's.

fyi i have a 250 hps no ventilation running holding 84 degrees for 3 hrs. normal temp for me is 76 200 watt cfl, is it anywhere close to 200 watt hps? just curious

i use cfls cause they are cheap.. i spent like 50-60 dollars for ALL my lights. I have had many harvests from the same lights. Unless my maryjane plants start growing dollar bills i will keep on using cfl's quite happily.
