I've seen it on a few of your grows. I was just wondering if from a theoretical standpoint if it was safe to do, and/or have any of you had bad experiences doing this

yes they will burn your plants as one of my ak's found out the other day.I've seen it on a few of your grows. I was just wondering if from a theoretical standpoint if it was safe to do, and/or have any of you had bad experiences doing this
kepping them an inch away is fine, u just need to make daily adjustments

Ugh...not what I meant. I mean when two CFL bulbs touch each other, not the plant...I couldn't care less about a couple of burnt leaves.

wont matter had them touching in a pc case for months

Never had any problems with bulbs touching each other, just keep some airflow though there and you can comfortably touch those CFL's
