CFL *DINAFEM Moby Dick* Stealth

Hello,

This is my first grow for RIU, but your site has added to my previous knowledge of grows and I thought I might go for a new stealth grow since my spouse does not like these types of things..

I currently have my plant setup in a 30"H x 30"D x 50"W. At the moment I have 2 26w 6500k's and 1 42w 2700k for a total of 94w. After the plant grows enough I am going to top and LST to keep it at a low height.

The grow space has an all white interior and I am using a rectangular pie pan for a reflector.

My seed, which is pictured below, is planted in a one gallon tin canister and was planted on Sunday, January 17th. It sprouted today , Wednesday the 20th.

I am hoping to veg for 1-2 weeks, then go to flower because of the small space. Gonna go organic, use bone meal and blood meal for nutes. I will alsobe getting a 42w 6500k and 2 more 42w 2700k for flower, maybe sooner. Let me know what you think.

Well your pics didn't show up for me, but that aside, I just finished a Moby Dick a couple of weeks ago. She took topping well, had nice dense buds, and a great stone. You'll like her!

So I haven't had the time to reply in a while so heres the update.

After 2 weeks of Veg, I noticed that something was wrong. So I did some looking around and noticed that since I hadn't fixed the soil up to the top of the pot, the hot air was getting trapped in there and getting a whole 10 degrees hotter on the step of the plant and was causing it to dry up really quick. The plant was stunted and barely grew at all.

So I replanted it that very day into something filled with soil so no hot air can suffocate my girl. A week later I have noticed alot of growth and plant on letting her Veg one or two more weeks then go Flower.

Tell me what ya think.

Pics below are from today , day 22 VEG.

Heyy man.. yeaa. sorry to hear that your plants growth stunted. =-/ It sucks because.. well.. I'M VERY impatient.. lol. and I HATE waiting for these things to grow and flower.. but mine seems to be goin by pretty fast.. soo if I had vegged for 2 weeks.. and it barely grew.. I'd be pretty upset.. But I'm glad to see that you didnt give up on your plant!! Thats great!

Also.. the pic from day 27 didnt show up again.. u might be better off just goin on photobucket and uploadin ur pics on thre.. adn then postin them on here lik eu did with the other ones.. thats what I do with all my pics.. I always have trouble uploading them through this site.. and plus.. the pics look wayyyyyy better when they're big, like the ones you posted from days 1-4. I'm curious to see what the plant looks like at day 27 tho.. Did it grow alot more?? And I cant wait to see this thing start flowering!!

I just put my White Widow into flowering on Tuesday.. you should check her out!! And I dont want you to take this the wrong way... lol.. but look at my plant.. I only vegged mine for 3 weeks.. it's fucking HUGE!! I dont think it's normal for plants to grow that big that fast!.. I feel like my White Widow was on some steroids or sumthin.. thats 3 weeks from seed! And I just started giving her nutes this last week!

But.. I have another plant growing too.. It's a mystery seed from nirvana.. No-one has grown it yet.. sooo no-ne knows what it is.. It's tiny, adn I just started flowering it too.. but I had the same problem as you.. Honestly.. I'm not even sure how long I vegged it for.. I think it might have been like almost 2 weeks since it sprouted outta the ground.. maybe a little less. but it's small.. smaller than yours I think.. Sooo I know how you feel.

Wow.. Sorry I wrote soo much man.. lol. I tend to ramble on alot on other peoples journals.. =-/ Sorry. But yeaa. keep us updates.. I wanna see some new pics.. Moby Dick is on my list of strains I wanna grow.. Sooo I'd like to see a grow from start to finish.. and you'll be flowering about a week behing me. =) Good Luck.. Keep up the good work!! =D

I have grown Dinafem moby dick on a few occasions I have 4 going now they are a month into bud I will have to get bamboo to support them the buds can get so heavy they snap under the weight of the buds the only down side is the time it takes to finish up to 10 weeks before they are ready You will love these girls they are my fave to grow I have an auto flowering Royal haze my mate gave me a seedling to try out I have not done auto before they are getting better all the time so decided to try one to see how she will do Hope your grow does well you will be very happy at the end remember they take a while longer then other sativa dominant plants 3 are sativa dominant and 1 is Indica dominant they smell sweeter then the sativa and finish quicker
