Last night I added 2 more 2400k 42 watt bulbs to the mix. that's now 252 watts for 3 plants in a 2' x 1.5' area. The plants just seemed like they needed more light.

Since the plants have gotten taller, they were obviously closer to the lights and I noticed the leaves started to show sings of heatstress again with the edges starting to point up again.

I moved the lights further up and added the 2 bulbs I mentioned. They were on all night and temps got up to 82F MAX.. mostly its around 79F to 80F.. humidity around 44% which i've found to be fine for these girls.

Budsites have been popping up on all the girls so I've been doing some leaf tucking to try and get all the budsites out into the light.. So far i have 4 or 5 bud sites per plant..

Oldest Assassin (starting to get better formation on the budsites but still has the smallest budsites of all)

Other Assassin

Blue Himalaya

sweet man! this is my first grow so its all a new experience.. seems i'm almost out of the vegging stage and it should go into full flower in the next week from what I've seen. its hard to believe how small the plants were just few weeks ago!!

Yeh my first grow too got 7 more seeds going out about the 30th hopefully
I wish I was in your situation that I could grow inside haha
Sounds right that yours would start flowering from my research too

Good luck to us both !

hey, looking real good, just started some Assassin's my self, good luck and will keep watching your grow to get some tips. Currently running one 250 blue envero but have a 125 red to whack in too (at 2 weeks for 1 and a week for the other). Ordered 3 85w red to add later. What do you think about using the red and blues together ? Always thought flowering should be red only ? or is it different with autos (first try doing these).
cheers

thanks man! during veg, i'm using a mixed spectrum of blue and red.. now that its closer to flowering, i've added more red but kept the same amount of blue.. in a week when they go into full flower, i will switch to all red.. From my research, its best to use mixed from day one and and bump up the red and then eventually replace with full red during flowering. i believe that the yield difference is negligble but probably produces better bud come harvest time.

awesome man! I don't know the differnece of growing indoors and outdoors but so far, growing indoors has been pretty great.. the plants are starting to smell a little more now so I will be building a carbon filter which hopefully won't raise my temps too much.. a couple degrees would be fine..

anyways.. I have some super cali haze that just came in which will be my next grow.. i'm deciding whether or not I will go soil again or do a waterfarm grow to get a massive yield.. I guess I'll be seeing how much I yield from these 3 girls come harvest time ;) I'm aiming for an ounce each but they seem pretty small.. I'm hoping they'll fatten up and get taller in the coming weeks!

and yes.. GOOD LUCK TO US BOTH!

good luck ! i'm germing some super cali too, so will be interested to compare results. This is my first auto grow so will be happy with a half a plant, any more a bonus. Got 3 85w bulbs coming so might switch them on as soon as I can and put on the big bulb once they start to flower. Any idea of total time to finish, 70-80 days ?
Problem i'm having is heat, or lack of it. My box is in my shed and the temp is quite low during night. During the day its fine and around 80 but at night its going down to 60. They dont seem to be suffering but worried it may affect them. Never mind, hopefully it will start to warm up soon.
Might do the Cali's out side after they have grown a bit. Can give them 7 or 8 hours of direct light and about 15 all together, will this be enough ?
Cheers

I am noticing the same symptoms on all the plants. The leaf tips of some of NEW growth is a almost gold in color and i'm talking about the very very tip.

a few older leaves have spots of yellow and it makes them look blotchy.. I took pics of the problem areas so you guys could help identify the problem a little better.

I have not given them any nutes yet and just watered them 05/14/2011 yesterday with PH balanced distilled water. PH runoff is fine at 6.5ish.. I water them every 3 or 4 days when the soil gets dry.

My thoughts are nitrogen difficiency or heat/light stress. The nitrogen diff sounds more plausable as the lights are 6" from the top of the plants with ciruclating air in the growbox and temps not exceeding 82F and ideling at 79F to 80f throughout the day with 44% humidity.

i have Fox Farm nutes (tiger, grow big, big bloom)

Thanks in advance for the assistance!

well, the spotting was starting to get worse on the oldest assassin.. I'm more than positive it's a nitrogen defficiency.. I went ahead and mixed up a lil less than half a teaspoon of Fox Farm Grow Big with half a Gallon of water and lightly fed the girls to see if that would help them until the next feeding.. PH of water/nutes was at about 6.7 to 6.8.. they finished off the half gallon and water still didn't seep to the bottom of the pot..

I was hesitant to give them a feeding because I had just watered them yesterday but that yellowing was progressing rather quickly and I figured it'd be better to give them some nutes now.. i'll report back tomorrow to see how they are doing..

Been watching quietly, so far they're looking great:
Not sure if your in the states or not, or if they're international. Try going to borders, barnes and nobles etc, they have all types of marijuana grow books i.e jorge cerventas, ed rosenthal etc, also have plenty of books wiht pictures ad paragraphs of explanation on diseases/pest or nute deficencies to diagnose any problem you could think of. If you dont feel like spending $ on them just read it there, has always served to be the best solution for me.
on here you will get many different diagnosis' but atleast the ones in these books are from credited sources.
Anyways, looks liek you got it down, keep it up bra!
