The 6500k is better for veg but you can grow and flower with either. Most people start with one and then either add the 2700k or exchange the 6500k for the 2700k. I use both with good results. The autoflower will do well, you might want to add a couple for the sides depending on your light penetration. That won't be alot with CFL's.hi, im totaly new to growing an would welcome any advice. getting a cfl reflector with a red 125 cfl. im growin an autoflower and will only be 1 plant. will this light be enough?
I agree. I kept being told to keep my plants inches from the CFL's and burned the shit out of my plants. I kept my 125watt CFL about nine inches above my plant and had great results. Your best advice is just watch your plants. Watch the haters too. They'll argue lighting, soil, nutes. Do your own thing and let the results speak for themselves.keep the light close enough that you can put your hand between the light and the plant with out burning yourself. Use the forums to your advantage, TONS of information here. Don't just take one persons advice as gold, get a few different peoples input. Remember, it's just a plant, it's not difficult to grow. Just use common sense and think about what the plant needs, how it grows, what the grow medium does for the plant and keep it all happy.
I opted for more myself. I am a big believer in the use of CFL's for vegging, but I use 600watt hps for flowering. What kind of yield do you average with CFL? Just curious.ive used and continue to use cfls with great results..you probably want more than 125, especially to use for side lighting.
