Good choice on the microscope, I was going to suggest it but you already had 2 things you were looking at.

So instead of getting the microscope... I got the microscope and gravity! the microscope is pretty awesome with LED light at the end. cost about 20$ and the Gravity cost about 29$ after taxes.

So let me get this right. You have clones and get them rooted and into the red cups and veg for a week or so.Then put them into flower?? that fast.? what are your exspected yeildes on these bud sicles?...Looks nice for small plants..could see me doing like 6-8 of these in my cfl booth too

I can fit 24 cups in my box, and with the different cycles the spacing will only be an issue for the early mid and late flowering plants. i havent had a yeild yet, but with these 4 plants they sorta look like a half oz ~, just from an eyeball pov. seems small but thats what the cycle is all about :)
Yea i usually root em out and let em sit in a party cup for a week or so before they go in the box, have had a few die the day or 2 after the xplant to the cups. so i let them sit for a week to see how they adjust and if they can survive long enough to get in the box.

yea hopefully more in the 1/4 oz area dried :). Im gonna do a longer veg time on newer clones to utilize the space i have, hopefully bigger plant, bigger cola, more dried weight.

I was doing some research on squar pots, to maximize the pot size for the root mass, possibly for slightly larger clones as well. But lookin at it, it will cut my sog down to 3 per cycle, 4 waves. Could be a minor cutback for larger buds, or i might just be thinking too much and stick with the 24 cups and keep em small n sticky. I could always invest in a bud hut, or some kind of portable growing room that can house everything and give me slightly more space. Will need some cash for that but its an idea so far.

i thought about square pots when i first started, it gives your grow room space... for now plastic cups seems more practical

Just an idea-

Cut the tops off some 20oz soda bottles and drill holes in the bottom (in the sides too for "air pruning"). Still about 16oz of space for the medium, but longer and skinnier.

Thats kind of what i was thinking, but there are so many oddly shaped bottles, plus, my cups are 18oz. already, that gives me pretty close to 20oz. im lookin for a sturdier pot, possibly deeper for root mass to move downward.

Its funny how roots know their deep, the deeper the pot the bigger the plant, not so much wider though

plus i see in your pics that u don't use the entire cups, leaving some head room at the tops of the cups taking away maybe 2-4oz's of cup space...
