CFL Grow Domina haze Liberty Haze Big Bang Cheesy Dick Northern Lights

I am starting my first grow. Started germination 24 hours ago and they have already popped. Going to use CFL and a few 6W LED grow bulbs. Going to Veg the plants under 8x26 watt 6500K cfl, 2x26 watt 2700kcfl and 2x48 inch t5's, and 3x6W LED's. I plan to top or fim all plants.
Soil mix will be 60% peat/humus/compost, 30% perlite, and 10% potting soil. I will put about 1.5 - 2 inches of perlite on the bottom of the pots as well. They are being started in 0.5L pots and will be transferred to 3-5 gallon eventually. Will probably veg to 18 inches then flower. Hazes will probably need some lst to keep them in line with the others.
Anyone grown any of these strains? When do i start adding nutrients? I am going all organic but have yet to go to the headshop to check em out.
In process of finishing a 4x6x6 grow room, just because i have the room for a bigger than neccesary one lol. I like room to work. I plan on doin my first grow right and seeing what i can get out of cfl. Its my first pot grow, but im a semi-experienced gardener so hopefully it goes good.

All the seeds are sprouted. I forgot to drill holes and add perlite to the bottom of the pots, so i re-did them, and added a little more perlite. they have about 1/4 to 1/2 inch of root already, 36 hours after starting germination. Pics soon.

i have actually seen some fairly good sativa/cfl outcomes

I think it will turn out good. I will make sure to add side lighting when the light starts to get weak on the sides.
Ive never smoked a haze, that i know of anyways, and am curious to see the difference. around here we get mostly low quality indicas, little popcorn buds. Once in a while some kush will come around but its not great either. I used to live in BC and california and the buds are always amazing, they were reliably good in BC, and in Cali i got mixed quality but smoked the best weed of my life there too, some sort of chronic hybrid, stank so rank it was great.

So here they are, planted in their .5L pots. About 40% perlite mixed in (doesnt look it as i added a bit of soil to the top 1/2 inch, with an inch of perlite on bottom as well. Hope to see something come out of the soil in the next day or two.

Ok so im thinking of scrapping my 4x6x6 grow room. I already have a closet near a window that is 3x4x7. Is this big enough for the 5 plants? assuming i veg to 18 inches nice and bushy.

Since I put 4 plants in a 2x2x5 tent, I think 3x4x7 will work for 5. So ignore some people. The CFLs will be your biggest limitation.

Im going to lst them so they branch out nice and flat. Fim the tops.

2 days since they started germintaing. 3 of the seeds sprouted above the dirt. The 2 haze seeds are still working their way to the surface. Moved them to the new 4x3x7 room. Cant wait for them to start growing some leaves. heres some pics.


The file for the big bang wont upload. its already sprouted about an inch already, 50 hours from seed.

Heres the big bang 2 1/2 days from seed. The northern lights and cheesy dick are just coming up out of the soil.

lst goes well with cfl's, but one technique at a time. just finishing a 1st grow is an achievement

So bad news, the northern lights seed sprouted about 1/4 inch above the soil, i checked it out about an hour ago, the little root was all brown, the little stalk flopped over and soft and brown and a bit of white mold hairs around it....it was dead..dont know where the mold came from so quick, threw out the whole pot. everything was sterilized with bleach water yesterday before they were moved into their new home.
I sent an email off to the seed company, hopefully they replace or coupon code me the price.
Down to 4 plants, the 2 haze hybrids, the cheesy dick, and the big bang is growing like mad.
The seed casing is stuck in the cheese seed. I checked it out, doesnt look like any greenery is under the seed pod yet so will just leave it and see what happens. Supposedly it happens when the seed are shallow in the soil.

So the Cheesy Dick seed died too, its all rotten and brown and flopped over at 1/4 inch of growth. I dont know what could possibly be wrong. They are not too wet or too dry, its not real humid in the room. They seemed to be doin great for 2 days old and now 2 of them are rotted. I think i might have to scrap them all and throw out the soil. must have a bad batch of soil or something with mold in it. its all brand new so i dunno. im assuming since the haze seeds were sprouted when they went into the soil but still havent come up then they are probably rotten too. Ive germinated alot of seed and tis only happened to me once with some hot pepper seeds. Guess ill order some more seeds and start over.

that is a bit discouraging, 2 seedlings that die fast, could be a soil issue
too wet is possible, but it didn't look that soggy in the pic, could just be crappy luck

hmm, maybe not completely dead? doesn't look great but another day or 2 of water and watching wouldn't hurt
