cfl grow frist indoor grow

what up.... iam growing two clones they are coming along nice.... when i got them they were on there last leg.... had mites, they werent get nothing but some nasty ass tap water....and they were living in the window only getting light from 5am or when the sun came up till about 12pm...boo boo..........then they came home with me...hooked them bitches up with 4 6500lumes cfls ( daylight spec) on an 18/6 timer and put them on fox frams grow big 2tsp per 1gal. with distilled water (the tap water here sucks).they just took off after a week being under the lights i stated to tie them down, so more heads pop up i used pipe cleaners to tie them down. i keeped doing that for every big branch that popped up.now i got lots of tops.i keeped them going like that for 4 weeks then swiched timer to 12/12 now it has been 6days into flowering the pics are of 3rd day of flower...but check them out and let me know what you think...any advice is good like i said this is my frist indoor grow....

I'n in the same boat bro. Always grown outdoore, and just moved inside with a 250w envirogrow.

What wattage do your bulbs amount to?
Information is variable, but there is talk of using so called blue light for veg. Blue light is measured by colour temp, and would be typically around 6400k. For flowering red is required, although some mixed spectrum in both phases seems to be appreciated. This is typically 2700K.

You may know all this already, and your plants seem to look happy, So good luck.
I'm just finishing off some AK47 auto's that i'd started outdoors and am rooting 8 cuttings of Biddy Early from my current outdoor grow. Might try me some SOG or SCROG.

Good lookin out put watts are 300 watts under each plant I had daylight spec on them for flowering I swiched to softwhite or the more red spec. Yeah but for both veg and flower they get 300 watts each... I think it's like 42 watts of power for each cfl... Thank for the love.... Keep coming

300w wouyld be good if it were actual watts and not equivalent. 42w bulbs are the best value. A good minimal setup for a couple plants would be:

3 42w 6500, and 1 42w 2700 in veg
3 42w 2700 and 1 42w 6500 in flower

Better to increase that to 6 bulbs, better yet to 8.

If you are gonna use cfl's then put has many has possible in the room and have them near to the tops within inces.If you look at the photo's that you have posted you will see that the internodes are realy too far apart.I understand that this is your first grow and i am not dissing your plants just trying to give you some pointers.When the plants are very young have the lights no more than 2 ince of the tops this can be done if the lights are cool daylight spec on the tops and warm on the sides so the lights won't burn the tops.If you are gonna use cfl's do the disco grow this means getting lights fitted to the side of each side of the walls of the grow room.Sound alot of lights but these light use very little electric put 6 on each side 150 watt daylight spec add 4 cool and 2 warm on each side.Then over the top get good old fashioned flouresents that will fit in the grow area.Use has many has possible again just make sure that you leave a 6 ince gap inbetween each one.Try and get some materiel to make a reflective hood for the flouresents.The flourents on the top put on chains and have them cool day light spec.Also don't go mad with the ammount of plants that you are growing grow 2 at most.Get the energy efficent ones flower at around 6/8 ince.Cover the walls in mylar there is no other materiel that comes close to it.This should give you a nice crop but this bit is gonna break the growers heart get rid to friends and buy a good h.p.s light a 250 watt one is fine for a couple of plants.Good look keep green tyke......................................

I got 4 42 watts 2700k cfls and one 40 watt 6500k cfl i just moved the lights so I can take the pix.... Good looking thou and they are kept closer to the plants..... I do want to add more lights but that takes money..... So I have to wait this weekend..... Thanks guys for the info.... The next grow will be better I will doo it disco style... Ian going to do four next time thou should I just dubble the lights??? I know I have to doibble the size of the box.....any advice is good.... Keep the info coming..... ok i know it has been hella long since i have last posted on here....... and alot of shit has happened since.......but thats all another story for another time....... anyways i just wanted to post the end of the grow for ''my first grow box''.......it turned out ok nothing to brag about .....the main thing is that i leaned alot of things doing this them came out nice i flashed them for the last two weeks of flowering i dryed them in a dresser next to the buds i kept a fan going so they got fresh air they dryed great i will dry them the same way next time and just cured it in jars .........not bad for my first time indoor grow ........but this next one is going to be way better i got some purple power plant and some purple haze.......new tent, new 1000 watt light and ballest ...... i just started the seeds yesterday ......no more coles for me i hate dealing with other peoples bugs.........i still need a ph,ppm pin, and a canfan ...... so keep ur eyes opened for the next grow........ im out if u have any?'s hit me up i will be checking my site offten......
