on average, you need about 100-150 cfl watts per plant....not regular watts...on the box that you buy the cfls, they should say something like cfl 105w = incandesent 500w
also, for vegging make sure you get cool white cfls...about 5000k-6500k and for flowering you want low spectrum..about 2800k
