If I were to buy 6 100w cFL
what would I need in addition for flowering
I know you can use a HPS( I think 400w correct me if i'm wrong)
But if i had an HPS would I really need the CFLs in the fiirst place
I read here somewhere you can use white light bulbs or something.
Please fill me in on that
Thank you every body in advance and in the past

yeah 400 watt hps will work ,, i would also recommend about 4 100-150 watt cfl's 2700k spectrum ,, they have them at hardware stores for about 10$ each then u can buy two Y shaped light sockets for about $3 each from the hardware store as well ,, the cfl's can be as close as possible without touching ur baby .. i recommend 1 finger width between the cfl & the leaf ... as for the hps a 400 watt about 8 inches away ,, so raise it 8 inches away ,, then put the top of ur hand even level with the top of ur plant ,, if its hott on ur hand its too hot for ur baby ,, raise it until its right ,, keep a little fan in there also , with a fan u might be able to move it closer to teh girl without burning her ,, if u notice the leaves drying out curling or burning move it a inch or two away ... use them 2700k cfl's ,,, u can very easily notice a big difference betweek 2700k & 6500 k ,, the 6500k will look white * daylight) while the 2700k will have a yellowish tint ,, hence the red 2700k spectrum.. use those 2700k cfl's for side lighting place them in the middle area of the girl & rotate her 1/2 turn a day if possible..

but just to clear things up in addition to 6 100w CFLS 2700k
I would need 4 100-150w CFLS,27000k for flowering?
Also would that cover 6 plants?

the cfls will work all the way through. you just need to change out the blue spectrum bulbs (6500k) for grow to red spectrum bulbs (2700k-3500k) for bloom. trust me iv harvested 50 plants on average using 2 good quallity 8 light ballast flourecents. how many plants are you figuring to grow?? how many lights per ballast are we thinkin?? i figure if they are two lights per ballast, you should be able to handle around 40 plants, maybe more. you save tons on electricity, bulbs, and fixtures. they also give off very little heat radiation so the plants can grow inches away from it and not burn.. im a huge pot snob aswell, the quallity of my herb does not suffer!!

Save on electricity eh? I didn't know that.
so i guess I'd need about 16 lights for 5 plants
Eight Blue and eight red
ok Thank you
