12/12 from seed. It is day 3 and the growth is slow so far. Stretched alot at first, but i think it is fine now.How many hours a day is the lamp on ? I have mine on 24/0 to keep them compact.

I don't have a pH tester but i don't think it is the problem. The outdoor plants are getting mostly rainwater except when i feed with nutrients. The growth on the outdoors isn't that bad, but yes, they should be atleast 3 feet. They are all about 12-18" now. I'm hoping that by mid August they get to around 3'. I'm aiming for 2oz per plant which should be easy.I was reading your journal last night going through most of the pages.
Do you know the PH of your water? Have you considered getting rid of the Miracle Gro soil?
You barely have any healthy growth at all, by this time you should have a tree!
Thanks for the advice. The sun here rises around 6AM and Sets at around 8PM, but I'm sure the plants are getting only 12 hours of nice direct sunlight which is what is starting flowering. The pistols on my prized female are getting nice and long, maybe I'll snap some pics soon. I have 4 main bud sites, but the entire bottom is barren, no leaves. Just 12" of pure stem. Guess that's OK though because some growers prune the bottom anyway. Not sure about the other 3, pretty sure 2 of them are females but the preflowers are still too early to tell. The seedling is doing much better after the addition of soil. The growth on the second set is coming in and for Day 5, it's looking good. Probably going to do a watering sometime today. I like to drench the soil really hard right before i put the germinated seed in. This will be the first watering since. The heat hasn't been too bad, but I'm going to be getting a 6" oscillating which will be fine. Just hoping it will be quiet. Still looking to get my timer also. It's hard to get a perfect 12/12 cycle when you have to turn the lights on and off manually. Will probably set up 3 more 23w so I have a total of 138w. The seedling should love it.Hey man, been lurking your grow long enough I prolly should have some input. Especially cause it was your grow that motivated me to start growing(my plants are 2 1/2 weeks behind yours). So is your 14/10 14hrs direct sunlight? Cause I know my veggies in DWC outside do better with about 10-12 hours full sun as opposed to 18 (summer here), with direct sun all day they got pretty mashed up. So if your worried about photo period then find a spot outside that only gets sun for 12 hours ie put it on the east side of a structure if your sun rises west and west if east, just figure out how high your structure needs to be to cut 2 hours of sun. problem solved. Also I think you were to far into flowering to go back. The plant has already changed its chemistry to gear towards budding.
Oh no This is why I hot-glued my adapters to my surge protector, then velcro'd it to the side of my box and also added nylon threading to help support it all.FUCK! was adding the other 3 cfls, and used Y splitters. The weight from the extra bulb pulled the socket to outlet adapter off and it fell and snapped the seedling. So beyond pissed off...Getting rid of this box. Going to have to re-build everything.
Your box looks fantastic, what is it made out of. Can you post a picture of the exterior?Oh no This is why I hot-glued my adapters to my surge protector, then velcro'd it to the side of my box and also added nylon threading to help support it all.

Sorry to hear, but all you can do is more on and improve on your grow!
I'll do you one better and post a link. It was a little pricey to buy and then cut the hell out out of it though inside was a shelf that couldn't be removed as it was part of the structure separating the two halves, so I just cut it out. I also spray painted the exterior black, covered some light leaks with black gorilla tape, and painted some of the interior white while using aluminum foil tape for the sides and door.Your box looks fantastic, what is it made out of. That's awesome, but with my wooden built box, the biggest problem was light leaks. It was at every corner. With my new box I am going to use a structure of 2x4's that I am hoping will block it. I am going to hot glue the Y splitters to the addapters and the adapters to the surge protector. I will hot glue the surge protector to the top upside down, and then i will make a shelf that i can move up or down for the seedlings. Here's a sketch. I know that yield mainly depends on how well its grown, but for a decent grower with 276w of CFL, doing a SCROG, how much bud can a box with these dimensions produce? I'm thinking 276w=5 plants with 1 1/2 ounces each. So i could expect almost half a pound every 3 months.I'll do you one better and post a link. Unfortunately if I had to do it again, I would probably just have built a custom box out of wood and that way I could have had the exact dimensions that I wanted. That, or a grow tent I suppose. Actually, since my grow is a "test bed", I will probably do that and build a box next time I decide to grow; I am undecided still though.
The good thing about it is that because its all black now, its very stealthy. I've had people come in to my room and they don't even ask what it is until they hear a fan running

Once my plants are no longer seedlings, I will replace the shelf, with a scrog board.
Yeah light leaks are crazy. Almost all boxes have them. With the box I linked to you, I still had light leaks. Its crazy when its dark and all of my CFLs are on inside of that thing. Definitely went through two rolls of gorilla tape lol
Your expectations sound accurate, I wouldn't doubt that yield but who knows until we get there
