I would say you need a lot more cfls in order to produce dense buds. If you are looking for light and fluffy buds, you're on the right track. Go here, it talks about cfl growing

you definately want more lights and you probably should start flowerin soon or else it will be huge which it already has the potential to be. You plant will about double in size when its flowering... i just swithced my plants to flowerin and they grew like 1-2 inches in the past 4 days. are you sure its a female yet

The last pick you have(the one of the top up close) looks like it has white hairs coming out at the nodes those would be preflowers. So I would imagine it is female. But let us know, your pics aren't close enough.

ya you'll be fine just add some more light so it doesnt need to stretch out as much

but ya it might be a good idea to get on with flowerin

i think it would be a great time to take a few clones and flower them. with a few more added lights too. that would at least keep the size issue at bay.

I think you should be able to tell now whether its male or female. When plants grow long enough they usually "let the cat out of the bag" per se by showing preflowers. This link is all about preflowers and sexing before the 12/12 cycle.

And more lights are NEVER bad. unless you have poor ventilation.

MosDef F2, i viewed tha link (thanx btw), from tha info i believe its a female...i will take some better pix asap...let me know what u think. And i did (maybe i still do) have poor ventilation but i switched up tha fan i was usin and i also am goin to install a small computer fan on tha side to vent out b/c rite now i am just relying on tha chimney effect with tha fan on the bottom...

:leaf::leaf: Wow it looks like you been veging that plant for half a year. I would put the plant into flowering right now cause your don't want it to get any bigger. Nice looking plant. When you do switch to flower make sure you add some more light so she doesn't look skimpy. :leaf::leaf:

That thing is a tree. You will want CFLs on the sides of that monster so you can get the max bud production. Also be sure to keep CFLs within 1-3" of plant to eliminate stretching. It looks like you have some stretching already happening so get those lights just close enough so you dont burn it. Start flowering now. Otherwise, the plant looks big and healthy, good job so far.

I love sour D!!!----A good rule of thumb is that a plant will triple it's size in flower indoors from the time you switch to 12/12. some sativ dom's will go 5 times their size. If your planning on using that box you should flower now and tie down the longest stalks or top the plant at or above the 9th to 11th node then start flowering in a week.

I don't think you realize how big that plant is going to be!!!! TRIPLE IT'S SIZE! It's going to take off, and in the next 2 weeks it will grow 2 feet minimum.
I would really reccommend taking a bundle of clones off of the top of that thing. Then topping every node left, and you will still be struggling for height in a couple weeks. Nice job though, I love Sour D!! I'm on my last bud of it as I write this. 100% organic and the taste is sooo good! I don't want to run out!!.

Great point CustomHydro, I was just going to say, I would suggest cloneing as many clones as you can get, top that big plant and keep topping it until you can take more clones. Keep it as a mother, don't flower it. You'd need A LOT of cfls in there. The other CFL's could be used on the clones and it'd be way easier to control, plus I would say by the time the mother produses its next clones, you'd have a nice thing going with the first set of clones. You'd never have to worry about sex anymore because they were all taken from a girl. Just my thoughts. Peace!
