CFLs and the electric bill

I have 90 watts of CFLs and was just curious if anything on my electric bill would be noticeable. I know CFLs are energy saving...I'm just wondering

the way you check how much money your using is a simple forumla.. on your bill you will see how much your paying per killowatt hour.. probably like fifteen cents or something an hour..
you take your 100 watts times that by your price per hour, times that by how many hours your light is on, times how many days you have it on per month, and divide by ten..
so here you go.. 15 cents x 12 hours a day gives you two dollars a day, x's 30 days is 60 dollars, and divide that by ten, six dollars a month for that one hundred watts.. you want to divide by ten as the electric company charges by killowatt, and that is 1000 watts, and your only using 100 watts, or one tenth a killowatt..
hope that makes a lil sense to you...

you just need to plug in your own numbers and how many hours your using your bulbs for..

no you will not notice a difference. one regular light bulb is 75 watts. your running 90 which is low. so your basically running a 100 watt regular light bulb. if i were you i would look at the true wattage on your cfls which should be 23 watts 2700k and 42 watt 6500k you need both of these lights as the 2700k and the 6500k covers both ends of the light spectrum. look at the lumens you want about 10,000 lumens per square foot. so if you have 5 plants in 3 gal pots you need about 40,000 lumens which would be about one 42 watt cfl and two 23 watt cfl bulbs per plant. it requires less money than running your central heater

I'm running ~1000 true watts in cfls and my bill only increased about 20-30 per month.

The cfl's in one of one of my grow areas around 300 watts while in flower the power consumption in my local area costs me 8 bucks a month.

Yeah 90 watts won't do anything... i have about 125 watts and was doing 24/0 with no noticable difference in the bill.

i run 5 100w equiv.cfls..(i know i should have more) and i cant tell the difference of the electric bill..it always varies by a couple dollars month by month anyways.
