CFL's for flowering?

I am currently using one 400W MH light with an HPS/MH ballast. When the time come's I'd like to take some clone's and flower em' to check their sex but also keep the mother's under the 400W 24/7. Could I use CFL's for the 12/12 or I would I have to switch to my HPS bulb and put the mother's under the CFL's?

you can most defiantly flower with CFL's. 2700k cfls are ideal for flowering.

I have two MOM's under CFL's, 18/6. Have had one of em for over two years. Two strains, both are healthy.
CFL's are good for vegging, cooler cost less, but HPS flowers like nothing else will execept sunlight
