Even if loose lips are involved, there is no way they are scrambling a bogey to FLIR a 125W CFL, lol. Do you have any idea how much money it costs to get a chopper off the ground for that kind of operation? If someone is snitching, they aren't gonna need the FLIR anyway.
Besides, FLIR couldn't detect a single 125 watt cfl through a roof, it's science, not magic. Finally, if they could magically see through walls and identify glowing CFL's, what is going to distinguish his CFL as growing marijuana opposed to the other hundreds of millions of CFL bulbs installed in homes and businesses everywhere?

i dunno shit about helicopters as u can see .......well in this area there are a lot passing by ,never been in any s cockpit to know what it can do.....never talked to any pilot before ,but if i wer to be able capture differentiated sources of light everywhere ,,distinguish them individually i mean .......I d check for lights schedule also.I kenow a guy who breeds carnivorous plants ,fly traps ,that woke up with a warrant for using his lights timed ,in a neighbourhood full of old people so it would stand out as few lights at that hour of the night.they searched his house and got a laugh at the end.
