So, Chrome, You have a hydro system that you water by hand once every couple of days? I am astonished! I was thinking that the extra problem of getting and setting up a pump or some elaborate gravity-fed system would be needed for it... So one could just fill a pot with perlite and grow just fine in that by giving it some water every day or every other day?

well if you fill a pot with perlite and water every other day thats not hydro...

the only reason i was going to water by hand was to have my small plant elevated closer to the light, but by increasing the height of the plant, it is no longer in touch with the tray where it normally gets fed.

but i just keep the plant in the tray during 2 of the 3 watering cycles in a day then elevate it for most of the light cycle remaining...
