CFLs question

For what? More information would be nice, but I guess:
"as much as you can get"
would be the best answer. Another common answer around here is:
"NONE! USE HID! HPS is the only way to go!"
whatever floats your boat.

cfls can be confusing with its "watt equivalent" a 150 watt equivalent bulb uses only 42 watts of electricity. those are the biggest ones i could find without driving myself absolutely nuts. but they make much bigger ones (200 watts "used"). id get the strongest ones i could find. also pay attention to what color light they put out. for vegging ud want more of a blue spectrum cfl (5500k[or higher]) if u wana flower with cfls ud want more of a red spectrum cfl (2700k). they have ones in the middle but i dun use em.. hope i helped a bit.

yes the strongest i can find is also 42 watt. Walmart and home depot carry them. They will work fine aslongs as your have enought of em. Just keep in mind .. yes the flouro lights but cfl's produce twice as much heat as standard tube lights, you will deff need good vetalation or you'll risk burning the plants
