cfm's??? (noob)

Watsup guys
i have a question
i just piked up a 400w hps cool tube
but what kind of inline duct fan should i buy?
How many cfm's do i need too cool a 400w hps bulb in cool tube
ive grown with only cfls in the past so im new to these sun systems

150-200 cfm should be plenty...

I would go with a phresh brand filter if i were you... pretty cheap, not as huge as some of the other filters, and works well! I use apple crumble ONA block in combination with the carbon filter... got ona blocks shipped for 9 bucks from roguehydro.. you can get the filter from greenerhydroponics

As for a fan I am using the fan from the fan/filter combo from HTG supply... its 190 CFM I believe.. does good work for my 400w and 40 cubic foot tent... check into the sound(dB) of whichever fan you buy.. the one i'm using is pretty loud.

You need to know the size of the area you're growing in t work out the size of an inline fan.

Example
4 x 4 x 6 = 96c ft
96 x 1.25 (this allows a 25% margin of error) = 120

120cfm
But remember that HID's create HEAT
so always get more than you need
and if low temps are a possibility
A dimmer switch can be used as a fan speed controller.

I use a RICK 6" in my 4 x 4 x 6ft tent.

I have a 165cfm duct fan now but blade is plastic
will this be an issue will heat melt blade?
and im planning on having 2plants under this light at the most for optimal light output. so the space wont be too bigg i grow bonzais
so about a 4x4x6 maybe...
their in veg now
just trying to get bloom room redy for them.
