CHANGING COLOR CRINKLY LEAVES STALLED GROWTH

August 1, 2020 I started three different strains, Mountain Deux Baja Blast, Bay 11 and Parmesan:

Weeks 1-2 (Did Great)
Top Feeding (5.8)
18 Hrs
Feit Electric 30 Watt White Full Spectrum
Hanging Height 8"
1" Rockwool cube (PH-5.9)
77 Degrees
65% Humidity
25-60 PPM (Cultured Solutions)

The start of week 3 thru end of week 6:
1" rockwool transplanted to 4" rockwool-6.0 PPM
18 Hrs Feit Electric swapped out for Agro LED Sun 48
Top Feeding (5.8)
80 Degrees
58% Humidity
65-90 PPM
Hanging Height Initially 18" switched to 16" a week before veg time. Leaves started changing colors from the bottom heading to the top. During seedling, I lollipoped the damaged leaves and my plants repaired themselves in no time. No problems occured until I changed the hanging height. (Suffered Light Stress-re-raised light-corrected issue)

A week ago I attempted to start my veg and the same issue arose only worse.
18 HRS
Current Culture Deep Water Culture (4)13 Gallon
(2) Phytomax-2 400 Watt Led
82 Degrees
52% Humidity
100 PPM
6.0 PH
Chiller 72 Degrees

Immediately I noticed my leaves were starting to crinkle and my tips were starting to burn. I freaked out and took my plants out of there DWC home to place them in a 2x2 flood tray in there original enviornment for a night until I could figure out what to do. The next day I raised my (2) Phytomax-2 400 watt LED'S as high as I possibly could also turning one off and leaving one phytomax on in my 8x8x7 gorilla grow tent. I than placed my LED directly in the middle.

I than placed my 2x2 flood tray on the floor underneath my LED along with my 4 plants inside the rockwool which is rests inside a 5" netpot that slides inside my DWC buckets.. I kept track of my plants progress what little they had and even on the floor close to 5ft away they still were showing signs of burning.

I than took them off the floor and placed them back in there original enviornment lost in a mental fog of assumption assuming they needed to be seedlings a bit more. After five extra days of perking back up I noticed roots growing out of the top and immediately placed them inside there DWC so's not to suffer root bound.

After placing them here I again lollipopped every burnt leaf and from that point there's been minimal growth. The growth that I do have, tiny leaves are crinkling and resemble crumbled paper as opposed to cannabis leaves.

Phytomax has mentioned to me that when plants grow leaves, they optimize the leaves for the light they are currently receiving. Whenever light intensity or spectrum changes, the existing leaves aren't optimized for the new conditions, and the plant undergoes shock. Leaves grown under the new lighting conditions will be optimized for it, but until new leaves grow the plant isn't able to best use the new light it's getting. By using the same spectrum for vegetative and flowering cycles, they said they eliminate this shock, and have noticed a decrease in flower time (1-7 days) and an increased yield when the plant was grown for its entire life under one spectrum.

After learning this I have no idea what to do. I have new leaves that are crinkling and changing color.

Can you please give me any tips or suggestions.

Thank You

There arent different rules for phytomax. What kind of temps do you have in there?

I would move them to soil.

For Cannabis plants, Phytomax recommends keeping ambient air temperature at about 85 °F / 29 °C while the lights are on if im not supplementing CO2. For grow rooms with CO2 supplementation, they recommend 88 °F .

My temp fluctuates from 81 to 84 degrees.

Soil would be an option however I spent $1,500 on a Current Culture UC XXL13

Crinkling and changing color could be good old fashioned LED light burn. I underestimated the power of these new LED's when I installed my first board in a nursery. Bleached and deformed a good batch of foliage. Reduced power to 50% and raised the light. Problem solved. Plants are happy. In my flower room where I have a 660W quantum board about 2' over my canopy the leaves are crinkled to shit and light bleached a bit. Not bad. But noticeable enough to mention. Buds look fantastic. I don't care if foliage takes a little kick in the teeth after week 4 of flowering. The increase in flower size overall is well worth it. You don' want those kind of problems happening in veg though. Try raising your light and taking it easy on the little lady. See how she responds.

By the way, your plant appears to be healthy and happy. Maybe I'm not seeing what you're seeing? I see no light burn or issues. Take pictures with your LED light off. Lighting alters the quality of your photos significantly and it can be difficult to see fine detail.
