Changing the Grow environment

What sort of effects would it have on plants if you take clones from a mh hydro ponic plant and put them in dirt and\or changed the lighting to say CFL

why would you wanna go and do something like that :)..use coco or something lol..cant get a hps?..better get alot of cfls
